Adeline's P.O.V

"What?!" I asked in shock.

"It's true," Josie told me. Josie had explained to me of what Veronica offered her and what Veronica knew. I sighed in distress.

"I feel like it's cheating and the fact that she new about Southside High, this is crazy," I tell her.

"I know."

"First my father gets stuck in their little hell and now I got Ethel to be my vice president but it's not good enough now I guess," I tell her.

"You'll figure something out, Adeline. I'll help you too. There's no way in hell am I going to let Veronica win at something you're clearly meant to be," Josie told me. I smiled at her.

"You're such a great friend, Josie," I said before hugging her.

"I will see you later. I gotta get to class," Josie told me.

"I'll see you later," I said.

I packed up some sandwiches before going over to Southside High. I saw Betty there making me smile a little.

"Hey," I said.

"For the Serpents?" Betty asked me as she looked down at my basket.

"Yeah," I nodded.

"Well, don't let me stop you," Betty said.

I went over to Sweet Pea before giving him a kiss. Sweet Pea smiled up at me.

"Hey," He said.

"For you guys. I gotta get to school but I wanted to bring you some food for later," I tell him.

"Thanks, angel. Will I see you later?" Sweet Pea asked me.

"Yeah. Stay warm," I tell him before giving him another kiss.

During school, I knew Veronica and Josie were doing a small performance but Ethel had a plan that would destroy Veronica. As much as I didn't want her to do it, Veronica was doing an unfair competition. During the song, Ethel started to pass out the flyers. I stood from the wall as she handed them out.

"Okay, what's going on?" Veronica asked. Ethel handed her a flyer.

"Where did you get all this information?" Veronica asked Ethel.

"Does it matter? It's the truth, isn't it?" Ethel asked her. I walked over to Ethel and stood by her side.

"I don't understand. I told you that we were making amends, that your dad would get a job offer," Veronica said to Ethel.

"You mean, your half-hearted bribe? Yeah. Too little, too late," Ethel tells her.

"B, wait!" Veronica said as she followed Betty. Archie started to take the flyers away making me frown.

"Thanks for the intel, Josie," Ethel tells her.

"We owe you one," I tell her.

"No problem. The Lodges hurt a lot of people this year. Your family, my family... We girls, we gotta to stick together," Josie told us.

"And we will," I tell her.
