Adeline's P.O.V

I handed out cookies that were decorated, Vote for Adeline Andrews. I saw Veronica handing out cupcakes along with kisses. I stared in confusion.

"What's wrong, babe?" Sweet Pea asked me.

"She's getting the boys's votes while I have the girls and the Serpents," I tell her.

"Adeline, you're going to win. I know it. You're one of the most amazing people in school," Sweet Pea complimented before kissing my head. 

"Thanks, Sweet Pea. Oh my mom is in town and she wants to meet you," I tell him.

"She does?" Sweet Pea asked in shock.

"Yeah. I've told her about you and she really wants to meet you," I tell him.

"Well tell me when and I'll be honored to meet her," Sweet Pea smiled down at me.

"Archie, I really hate to see you and your father fighting," Mom told him. I sat next to Archie as mom sat across from us.

"We're not, Mom," Archie told her.

"And look, you and Veronica, it's your first real relationship... I just wanna make sure that you're not being... led astray," Mom told him. I took a bite out of my salad.

"By Ronnie?" Archie asked her.

"To align yourself with her family against your better judgment," Mom told him.

"It's not like that. Okay? Veronica is an amazing person," Archie defended.

"I'm sure she is," Mom told him. Archie let out a small scoff. I looked over at him before giving him a nudge.

"But I guess I'm just saying, so's your dad," Mom told him. Archie nodded before continuing to eat his food.

"Adeline, I would like to meet your boyfriend sometime. From all the stories you told me, I would like to meet him," Mom said.

"Really?" Archie and I asked together.

"Yes. He seems like a nice boy who is willing to protect you and all," Mom told me. I smiled before nodding. 

"He'll want to meet you as well," I tell her.

"Great."
