Adeline's P.O.V

The Serpents stayed over at our house. We made room for them to sleep over in. I was talking to Archie outside alone.

"You really came through," I told Archie.

"I did?"

"Yeah. I mean you're still an idiot sometimes but at least you helped get the Serpents out of the Whyte Wrym. Talked to dad about letting them crash here until we got things settled," I told him.

"I heard the Serpents are going to have to go to Seaside," Archie told me.

"Yeah," I sighed sadly. Then I thought of something.

"Archie."

"Yeah?"

"What if they didn't leave?" I asked him.

"How?"

"Weatherbee doesn't want the Serpents at school. But they're part of us in a way now. What if we do a protest?" I asked him.

"How?"

"We wear the jackets at school and if Weatherbee won't let them stay, then we walk out with him. You can't run a school if everyone is gone," I told him.

"That's a good idea, Adeline. You think it might work though?" Archie asked me.

"I hope so. But I'm gonna need my big brother's help," I said standing up. I looked down at Archie who stood up.

"Whatever you need. I'm there to support you," Archie told me.

The next morning, I helped serve some breakfast for the Serpents. Most had their food luckily.

"All right. Two dots and a dash. Two chicks on a raft here, Jug. And there's a stack of Vermont hot for ya. Oh, yeah, I worked at Pop's for a summer," Dad told Archie and I making us smile at him.

"What's going on here?" I heard. I turned to see FP walk over.

"Hello, FP," I said.

"Hey, kid," FP said to me," You do all this?"

"With an assist from Archie. Toledo's gonna have to wait," Jughead said.

"Maybe so. Bulldogs helping Serpents, Freddie Andrews opening his house to a bunch of snakes. There goes the rest of your Northside boat, buddy," FP said.

"We're all neighbors here. All right. Bacon!" Dad said before grabbing the plate and walking off.

"Hey. Thank you. You came through for me," Jughead told Archie.

"We're not done yet. Jugs, how many of these Serpent jackets do you think we can borrow?" I asked him.
