Adeline's P.O.V

After school, I walked inside the house to see Archie sitting on the couch. I rolled my eyes before walking up the stairs.

"Adeline, wait," I looked over at Archie.

"What do you want now?" I asked him.

"Sweet Pea got arrested," Archie told me.

"He what?" I asked in shock.

"Look, Mayor McCoy rounded up all the Serpents for Jingle Jangle-"

"Ghoulies do that. Not Serpents," I interrupted him.

"How do you know this?" Archie asked me.

"Sweet Pea told me the basics of gangs so I wasn't so oblivious to the Southside," I told him.

"He cares about you, huh?" Archie asked me.

"Of course. He was there when Reggie treated me wrong, when we found Jason's killer, he was there for me for comfort," I told him. Archie stared at me for a bit. I walked upstairs to my room to finish up homework.

"Adeline! Dinner!" I walked downstairs to see Chinese take out. I helped get the plates ready for the table before sitting on my chair.

"Community service? Can't you just ground me, Dad?" Archie asked dad as they walked in with the take out.

"Community service was Mayor McCoy's idea, and it's a damn good one if you ask me. You wanna put that trash in your body, you can spend the day picking up trash at Pickens Park," Dad told Archie. Archie let out a sigh.

"I still can't believe you did Jingle Jangle," I said quietly.

"I know Jug wasn't at your Lollapalooza the other night, but he does go to Southside High. It's ground zero for that crap. You talking to him, checking in? How's he doing?" Dad asked Archie.

"Trying to."

"Yeah. It was kind of like that when I was trying to help FP. I don't what it is. A never-ending battle with those two. I just hope with Jug it's not a losing one," Dad told Archie.

"Am I still grounded?" I asked dad.

"Well one more day and you're officially done," Dad told me.

"Finally," I said.

"Have you two made up yet?" Dad asked us. I glanced up at Archie before shrugging.

"Not sure," I told him.

"You two should. You're both family," Dad said. I looked up at Archie before continuing eating my food.
