Twenty Nine

Adeline's P.O.V

The next day at school, I stood at my locker until I saw darkness. I smiled a little as I could tell on who it was.

"Guess who," I heard.

"Could this be my amazing boyfriend Sweet Pea? Or is it my favorite character from my favorite book come to life to swift me away from this awful place?" I asked. Sweet Pea's hands removed away from my eyes as I turned to face him.

"You prefer me over your fictional characters right?" Sweet Pea asked me.

"Maybe," I shrugged. Sweet Pea smiled down at me before giving me a quick kiss. I noticed that he was wearing a turtleneck making me sigh a little.

"You really want to stay here don't you?" I asked him.

"New school. Better teachers, better chance at getting into college. Plus, you're here," Sweet Pea told me.

"I'm glad you're thinking about your future but I still miss my Serpent," I told him. Sweet Pea leaned down to give me another kiss. 

"Come on," He said as he lead me away. 

I sat next to him at the lounge, talking to Toni and Fangs. I saw that they took the warning very seriously. We saw that Jughead walked in with his Serpent jacket on.

"Oh hey guys," Jughead said, looking over at us.

"Take it off. Take off that jacket, Rat Boy," Reggie told Jughead. Jughead turned around, letting out a sigh.

"Oh, Reggie. I don't think you know what this jacket means. Because you have no sense of honor. Or history, or loyalty," Jughead said.

"That's it," Reggie said before attacking Jughead. Sweet Pea and Fangs ran towards Jughead's aid making me stand up. I ran out to grab Mr. Weatherbee.

"Adeline what's going on?" Veronica asked me.

"There's a fight in the student lounge," I told her. 

"Oh my god," Veronica said as she saw the scene. We both went to the office where he was.

"Mr. Weatherbee, there's a fight going on," I told him. I lead him over to the student lounge where he stopped it all. 

Veronica and I stood near by Mr. Weatherbee as he looked at everyone who was part of the fight. 

"You all have a week's detention for fighting," He told them. They all looked down in disappointment.

"But I made myself clear to you, Mr. Jones. Take off that jacket, right now, or you're suspended," Mr. Weatherbee told him.

"Please, Jughead, just-" 

"Then I guess I'm suspended," Jughead said, not hearing Veronica's whispered plea. Jughead walked out of the office making me look down in disappointment. 

"Rest of you, get to class," Weatherbee told us.

"Adeline, are you mad at me?" Sweet Pea asked. 

"No. Why?" I asked him.

"I got into a fight and-"

"You were helping, Sweet Pea. I can't get mad at you for helping out your friends," I told him. Sweet Pea kissed my head for a second. 

"I love you," Sweet Pea told me.

"I love you too. Let's get to class now," I told him.

The next day, I saw Sweet Pea in some Riverdale uniform. I stared in confusion as I walked over to him.

"What is this?" I asked him.

"Weatherbee is making us wear it," He told me. I scoffed a little.

"Sweet Pea, I love you and I just have to say, you look ridiculous," I told him.

"You don't find me hot like this?" Sweet Pea winked.

"No. You look like a prep boy. Not my hot, Serpent boyfriend who I love more," I told him. Sweet Pea smiled a little at me. 

"I think I might need help shopping on new clothes so I don't have to wear this stupid uniform," Sweet Pea told me.

"I'll be glad to help my boyfriend fit in so he doesn't have to look like some prep boy," I told him. Sweet Pea leaned down to give me a kiss.
