galaxies upon your jawline

as for tomorrow i don't know where i'll be
out with it in some way or another
so dangerous
not just with your fists
but with your     s   m      i      l      e
and every broken bone
shattered inside rattled around like a misplaced screw
{you keep such a good balance between love and lust}
always keeping me on my toes
{it's people like you who destroy me when they leave}
come back long enough to make sure i don't forget you
you're not exactly the kind of guy to write about
you're the kind of guy to talk about
because you're oh so different
{so scared of losing you when i don't even have you}

he's so simple in the way he laughs
the way his voice is so disparate
it drips like honey but god
he's so complex with the way he seems to feel nothing for me
and everything all at once
{there's nothing i can do to stop anticipating heartbreak}
and all that melanin in your eyes
gets me high
hazel eyes
rayleigh scattering
because it's bright
so full of light
atoms untouched
you have stars lining your bones and plasma in your veins
there once was a time that
i stayed up past the moons bedtime
just to think of your eyes

worry courses through my blood
and brushes across my throat
tightening till my mind sinks
i'm so enraptured
by the tales you spin
i want to believe they're lies
every word you've said
