A/N -
Yeah, I know this is a weird and unheard of ship but this ship needs more love. Just wait, more canon ships will be coming soon. Also, the events happen before the first book of the first series.

Devin's PoV -

After dinner at the Trunswick estate I snuck off to my room. Knowing my dad didn't care enough to check on me before I went to bed I snuck out of the window from my second story room. My dad would care about me sneaking off to see a certain shepherd boy though so I had to be secretive with my almost nightly trips.

I climbed down some vines, that had grown up the wall next to my window, to get to the ground level outside. I tried to stay away from the main roads where there was more people, even at night. Being the earl's son really did have its disadvantages, I couldn't very well blend in with a crowd. My fancy clothes and overall demeanor probably didn't help things either.

Why did Conor have to live so far out of town? I had been walking in the cold for an hour but I was almost there. I hid in the woods, stalking to see if Conor was outside with the sheep tonight or if one of his brothers had taken the shift. Conor kept our little secret from his family too. Though I knew if he told his parents they would be a lot more supportive of him than if I told mine.

Then I heard the sound of his voice, Conor was the one watching the sheep tonight. I stood still a minute listening to the beautiful sound of his voice as he talked to the sheep. His blond hair glistened in the moon light and he stood firm with his shepherd's cane held tight in his hands. He looked like a warrior. I walked up to him, "Hey, sheep boy," I greeted Conor jokingly.

"Devin, what took you so long?" Conor asked as he hugged me tightly.

"Well excuse me," I said sassily, "but your the one who lives so far out of town, though I must admit I took a moment to admire you, the moonlight makes your eyes sparkle."

I looked up at the taller boy and even though it was nighttime I could tell that Conor was blushing. I hugged him tighter trying to gain some warmth as I stood shivering in the cold. My fashionable coat didn't keep me very warm. Conor silently wrapped his warm brown cloak around me. "Are you not cold?" I asked him.

"I'm fine, don't worry about me," Conor stated as we broke our hug and sat down in the grass.

I snuggled into him. Conor wrapped his arm around me and we sat there all night talking and cuddling till about an hour from day break. The first glimpse of the sun was beginning to peak out over the Euran hills. "I probably need to go before my dad finds out I'm gone," I stated as I stood up with a tired stretch and yawn.

"That's fine, please be safe and I'll see you soon," my boyfriend replied.

With that I found my path through the woods and began my long walk back home. I thought of Conor as I walked. He was my world, simply because he cared for me when next to no one else did. My brother, Dawson, was the only other person that cared for me. Without him and Conor I would be lost.

I continued my walk and a few minutes later Trunswick came into view. I found my normal route through the back allies and made my way to my family's estate. I stood at the bottom of my window and glance around to make sure nobody was watching but as my luck should have it, the vines around my window had been cut down. Shit... I thought, now what will I do?

I snuck over to my brothers window. Dawson's window faced the woods, so I would have more cover as I snuck back inside. I went to the ally and carried boxes and crates of garbage and set it at the bottom of my brothers window. I manage to get the pile just tall enough that my brother could pull me inside. I grabbed a pocket full of rocks and climbed the pile of boxes. I threw the rocks one by one at Dawson's window, trying to get his attention.
