Takoda's PoV -
I followed Xanthe through the caverns of Sadre. I was fascinated by Sadre but when the Wyrm was threatening all of Erdas and Sadre it was no time to take a tour of the caverns. Now with the Wyrm defeated Xanthe promised to take me on a tour of her homeland. Well here we were deep underground in the heart of Sadre.
I could scarcely see in the darkness so Xanthe held my hand to lead me through the darkness. The only thing I could see was the beautiful eye's of Xanthe. Her eyes picked up on the smallest amount of light, coming from the glowing mushrooms, allowing her to see in the near darkness. Her eyes seemed to twinkle in the small lighting.
This was a bittersweet trip for Xanthe, I could tell that her voice was beautiful and full of happiness as she told me the proud stories of her people's history and yet there was an unmistakable sadness in her eyes. Much of her homelands and her people's had bred destroyed and killed by the Wyrm. The Wyrm had taken much away from us all and now we were living in the aftermath of its destruction.
We walked along and I held her hand not wanting to let go. I walked mostly in silence as Xanthe talked. Finally we made it to a better lit place. "Let's stop here and eat some lunch, I'm starving," Xanthe stated and I nodded in agreement.
We sat down and opened the provisions we had brought. We mostly sat in silence enjoying our meal. After we were both done eating Xanthe stood up and stretched. "Well that was a nice break, but let's continue on, we're not too far away from the next town," Xanthe stated as she grabbed her things.
I gathered the rest of our supplies and stood. "One second Xanthe, you got a little something on your face," I pointed at my own face signaling to her where the crumb was at.
I had lied, her face was perfect, but I had a plan. Xanthe rubbed at her face. "Did I get it off?" she asked.
"No, let me get it for you," I stepped closer with a blush and quickly kissed her on the lips.
I was just about to pull away from the kiss in defeat when she finally kissed back. "Takoda, do you love me?" she asked shyly.
"More than you'll ever know," I replied with a blush.
