Rollan x Karmo (Jolt) - The Heart Tattoo (Part 2 - The End)

This is a part 2 to a oneshot I did a loooonnnnggg time ago... Also, this is a soulmates AU where randomly a tattoo will appear in the exact same spot and shape on both soulmates.

Karmo's PoV -

     I was on a mission in Greenhaven on behalf of our Redcloak leader, King. It was kinda awkward because besides Worthy, I was the only other Redcloak stationed here. Everyone else looked normal and I could feel the Greencloak's eyes watching me all the time. Some didn't trust me but others were just curious.

     It was especially awkward now since some Greencloak boy named Rollan forcefully nocked me to the ground, took off my mask, and kissed me. Admittedly, I liked it and I had pecked him back but we were still attracting too much attention. I didn't want anyone to know I had a bird beak, thanks to my hamerkop like traits.

     After a quick kiss and a small snuggle I pushed Rollan off and quickly put my mask back on. "Oh, come on, leave your mask off," Rollan whined, "you're too beautiful for that!"

I blushed, "T-thanks but I d-doubt others will s-see my looks that way..." I replied.

We were both standing now, awkwardly exchanging glances. "Sooooo, do you want to do something?" Rollan asked cutely.

     "Depends what that something is but sure," I replied with a shrug, trying to be casually but secretly screaming inside.

     "Let's take a walk and I'll show you around Greenhaven," Rollan smiled, "you haven't been here long have you?"

     With that the two of us started our tour. Rollan would point something out every once in a while, he was nearly always talking. Which was good because I never knew what to say. Finally, our tour came to an end when he showed me his room. "If you ever need to find me, chances are I'm in here," Rollan laughed.

     I smiled, Rollan had the most beautiful laughter. He invited me inside and we sat and talked for awhile. Hours later I decided it was time for me to leave. It was late and I had to get back to my own room. "Rollan, I should probably be getting back but thanks for the tour today, it was fun," I smiled though of course he couldn't see it through my mask.

     "You're welcome to stay here," Rollan smirked.

     "No, sorry but I think I'll wait," I stated politely and Rollan walked me to the door.

     I gave him an awkward hug before I left. I couldn't sleep well that night, I couldn't stop thinking about Rollan. I was in love...

Rollan's PoV -

     I woke up late the next morning, I had a bad habit of sleeping in too late. I felt lonely and I wished Karmo had stayed the night but I wouldn't push him. He had to take things at his own pace. I went to the bathroom to get ready for the day.

     I raced down the stairs to what was left of breakfast, hoping that I'd see Karmo. Sure enough my feathered boyfriend was just walking out the door as I ran in. He seemed surprised to see me, "Oh, good morning, Rollan, I was just going to look for you," Karmo stated with a smile in his voice.

     "Good morning, I sleep in late a lot," I replied with a small laugh.

     No one else was in the hallway so I hugged Karmo and took off his mask. I planted a quick kiss on his lips and I could tell he was blushing as he kissed back. Then I felt a warm burning sensation on my lower neck. It didn't hurt but I pulled away from Karmo who seemed just as confused as I was.

I tugged at my shirt and looked down to find a small heart tattoo now on my collarbone. Karmo was starting at the tattoo confusedly. I grabbed Karmo's shirt and pulled it right off his handsome body. He looked surprised but I couldn't quit staring as the heart tattoo now plaster to his collar bone. He glanced down at his own tattoo and then glance up at mine. I was the first to speak, "Karmo, we're soulmates!" I squealed happily and wrapped Karmo into a warm hug.

     Karmo pecked my lips lightly and I could tell he was smiling. "Yes, we are, I'm proud to have you as my soulmate," Karmo snuggled into my chest, "I love you!"

     We stayed like that for awhile till we decided the hallway was no place for this and I took Karmo back to my room. I had always heard stories of lovers randomly acquiring soulmate tattoos but I never expected to find that one person in the whole world who was meant for me. I couldn't be more happy with my soulmate as I snuggled into his soft wings.
