---------Conor's PoV -
"Conor, Conor," Rollan waved at me as he ran down the hallway shouting my name, he finally caught up and stood panting, "Conor, we were invited to a party this weekend, we have to go, I've been to a party like this before and it's great," he shoved the invitation in my face.
I took it from him and skimmed over the words. It didn't sound like the safest kind of party.
"I thought we were going to go see a movie together this weekend," I replied.
"Please, we can do that next weekend," Rollan looked at me with his puppy dog eyes.
I sighed, "If it means that much to you then, sure, I'll go with you."
"Yay, your the best boyfriend ever," Rollan hugged me.
"Yeah, yeah, I'll pick you up at 6, Friday night," I gave in.
Rollan kissed me and mumbled a thanks then he ran off to his next class. Realizing the time I also sprinted to my next class.
------
I paced around my room. It was 5:30, Friday, I would have to pick Rollan up to go to that party in just a few minutes. I was nervios, I'd never been to that kind of party before. As much as I hated it I was known as the innocent teen, my boyfriend, let's just say wasn't known as the innocent kind. I looked in the mirror and straightened my bow tie. Hopefully this was supposed to be formal, I really had no idea. With a sigh I realized it was time I should go pick Rollan up.
I drove my truck to his home and went to the door. "Hello, Conor, please come in," Rollan's mom greeted me.
I nodded politely and mumbled a thanks. She was a nice lady but just for the fact she was my boyfriend's mom made me nervous. "So you two are going to a movie tonight," she tried to make small talk.
Should I lie, Rollan proudly wouldn't want me to tell her what we were actually doing? "Yeah, were going to see this new action movie," Rollan stated a bit to eagerly as he ran down the stairs.
At least he saved me from having to lie. I must've not dressed right, Rollan wore a hoody and a pair of old jeans with converse shoes. Rollan smiled and almost laughed out loud when he seen how I was dressed. He pulled me outside with a backwards wave of goodbye to his mom.
"You really don't know anything about these parties do you?" Rollan chuckled as he slipped off my bow tie and jacket.
He ruffled my hair a bit. "There that looks better," he smiled.
Rollan got into the passenger seat and I lay the rest of my suit in the backseat. Finally, I drove to the house that was hosting the party.
It seemed every light was on in the house and I could hear the loud music from the road. Rollan got out of my truck and stood beside me. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder letting me know I would be okay. I smiled at him and with that we walked inside.
"Yo, hey Rollan, glad you could make it I don't think you would show," someone greeted him.
Rollan replied and introduced me but I don't think he even gave me a second look.
I knew only a handful of people compared to the dozens that were there. I only recognized a few from the soccer team, even at that I never really talked to them. Rollan walked from group to group talking and mingling. Nearly everyone was drinking or smoking something. Rollan had even gotten a drink from somewhere.
This whole place scared me. I decided to run off and hide in the bathroom for a while that was until I heard a pair of voices coming from inside the bathroom. Let's just say it sounded like they were having more than just a friendly conversation. I turned around immediately trying to find Rollan. I searched a while but couldn't find him anywhere.
I walked from group to group searching for my boyfriend but I couldn't find him anywhere. By now everyone was very drunk. Even worse I was getting hit on by girls and boys. Finally, I found Rollan but he was in trouble. I listened in on his conversation.
"So, you want to fight do ya, let's have it then, show me what ya got, wimp," some big bully was shouting at Rollan, he always seemed to get himself in this kind of trouble.
Not only was this bully drunk but Rollan was too, I acted before I even knew what I was doing, probably because I knew whatever Rollan was going to say, it would get the lights knocked out of him. I jumped on Rollan and both him and I collided with the floor with a hard thud. I groaned but got up. I helped my drunk boyfriend up too and deciding it was time that we leave I hulled him out the door, with Rollan complaining the whole time. I got him in the car and drove him home to my house.
I had to explain to my mom about where Rollan and I went but she was just glad I didn't drink anything. I carried Rollan off to bed and tucked him under the covers. He was asleep within minutes. I lay on the floor beside the bed till I finally went to sleep.
-------Rollan's PoV -
I woke up with a killer headache. I was dazed at first but then the events of last night came back to me. I stood up and slid out of bed remembering that I was in Conor's home. I went downstairs to find Conor making breakfast. I snuck up behind him and gave him a hug. He jumped in fear causing me to laugh but after realizing it was me he settled down. I snuggled into him resting my head in his shoulder. "Thanks for taking care of me last night," I said between kisses on his neck.
Conor was a blushing mess. "It's fine, Rollan, no problem."
"I shouldn't have made you go with me, I know how much you hate those parties," I replied.
"I didn't mind, at least I was with you," Conor smiled cutely.
With that we sat down at the table and we ate the pancakes Conor had made. My hangover felt a little better but it still felt like someone took a hammer to my head.
