Devin (Worthy) x Shane (King) - Heartbreak

Shane's PoV -

     I was cuddled next to my boyfriend, Devin. I wouldn't wish to be anywhere else in the world than in his arms. I nipped at his ear a little earning a small whine or meow from him. "Love you, Devin," I mumbled as I lay my head on his chest. He mumbled something back but by then he was half asleep. I gave up trying to flirt and let myself drift off to sleep. Sometimes I felt like our love is one sided.

The next morning I woke up alone in bed. I hoped Devin would've waited for me to wake up but once again I was let down. I quickly got dressed and made my way to the main hall of the Redcloak base. I found Devin there and sat down next to him. The others were all eating breakfast but I settled for a glass of orange juice instead. "Good morning, handsome," I smiled at Devin.

"Morning," he replied and I frowned.

"Devin, can I talk to you alone?" I asked.

He looked at me weird but nodded and I got up and Devin followed. I found a nice quiet place where we could talk alone. "Devin, I feel like we're falling apart, we need to find a way to fix us," I begged.

"Yeah, I was wanting to talk to you about that," Devin replied, "I found someone I like better than you."

He said I so casually and yet I was struck dumbfounded. Did Devin just break up with me? "Yeah, were through," said Devin.

"D-devin, why?" I pleaded.

"I'm sorry, Shane, but nothing last forever, I simply found someone else," how could he say that.

"We've been dating for five years, Devin," I pleaded.

Devin simply shrugged and walked away. We were through and I was heartbroken. He left me there crying and sobbing.

     Days after I would stare at Devin and his new boyfriend, wishing Devin had showed me that kind of love. Wishing I had what Devin's new boyfriend had. Tears would stream down my face. Was I not good enough for him?
