A/N -
Yeee, this is a platonic brotherly ship so don't kill me! There may be some Devin x Conor too. Also, this takes place before the events of the first book.

Dawson's PoV -

Today was the date of the annul Trunswick get together. Basically it was a big boring party that my father hosted for the rich people of Erdas. Everyone came to the event, some even traveled from other continents, I don't know why, I found it so boring. Guest were just starting to filter through the large oak doors of our estate. Almost everyone was old, there were a few kids and teens but everyone was just so arrogant it was hard to make friends.

The hole estate's lights were dimmed but I stood in a darkest corner drinking some punch and taking it all in. My father told me to participate and mingle with everyone but he was asking too much from me. Besides, I knew father just wanted his guest to admire my politeness and obedience, my brother and I were supposed to play the roles of the perfect sons.

I wandered away from my corner and decided to try to find my brother. He was probably in the same position as I was, not really knowing what to do. I found Devin standing by the door greeting our guests as they filtered in. "Hey, Devin," I walked up to him, "did dad put you up to this?" I asked motioning to the guest at the door.

"Yeah," Devin sighed, "I wish father would let us just hide in our rooms while he greeted his own guests."

I nodded in agreement. "I wish father would let us wear something more comfortable," I added.

"Your outfit's better than mine, do you have any idea how many buttons are on this," Devin motioned to his jacket,"a lot!"

I sighed. "Devin, can we ditch this welcoming comity and go find something else to do," I pleaded.

"Let me get through these next few guests, then I'll gladly leave," Devin smiled at me.

Happily I stood beside my brother and shook the hands of our guests. The next break we seen the two of us split and hurried back to my dark corner. Hopefully father wouldn't find us here. "I'm glad to be away from all that, now what?" Devin stated.

"Hmm," I thought, "lets start a dance battle!" I replied.

Devin looked concerned. "Do you know how much trouble the two of us would be in?" Devin ranted, "Also, the people here are much to boring to care about a dance battle."

"Firstly, when has the threat of getting in trouble ever stoped us before and secondly, the guest would participate if we both did," I explained to my brother.

"Good point, so what's your plan?" Devin gave in.

"We can't do it alone, lets go find that servant of yours," I stated.

"Conor?" Devin seemed confused, "what could he do to help us?"

"Besides the fact I love watching how awkward the two of you are together, well, he can help us kidnap the DJ," I explained.

Devin blushed, "okay, I'm in, let's go."

The two of us snuck off to the kitchen where all the servants were told to stay till they were needed. I quietly closed the kitchen door behind us. Devin and I quickly found Conor who was washing dishes with another servant. "H-hey, Conor," my brother stuttered as he walked up to his crush.

It was kinda pathetic but hilarious to watch. "Oh, hey, Devin, did you need anything?" Conor smiled.

I joined my brother, "yeah, actually, we need your help," I explained to Conor, "Devin and I want to start a dance battle but we need your help."
