A/N -
Honestly, I don't ship Meilin and Rollan together but I figured if I wanted many reads at all on this story I would have to write a chapter on this... I drew this chapters cover art! Thanks and I hope you enjoy!
------------------------Rollan's PoV -
There was only one thing wrong with going on adventures all the time, besides risking your life and all that, when you got back from those adventures life got boring really fast. I heaved an audible sigh. "What now?" asked Meilin who sat close by reading a book.
"I'm dying of boredom!" I complained.
"What do you want to do?" Meilin asked.
I thought a moment, "lets bake a cake."
"Why a cake?" She questioned.
"Because cake tastes great and I'm hungry," I replied.
"Fare enough," Meilin stood up and we walked to the greenhaven castle kitchen.
I raided the cabinets for eggs, flower, sugar, baking powder, etc... Finally, after I had managed to find all the ingredients, I hopped down from the chair I had stood on to reach the cabinets.
The the two of us began to mix the batter. We weren't the best cooks, especially since we were making this from scratch but everything seemed to be alright. "Uggg, my arm hurts, the batter is getting thick," I complained.
"Move over, let me show you how it's done," Meilin stated as she practically shoved me out of the way and proceeded to mix the cake batter the way only a skilled ninja could.
"You just love to make me look weak," I whined pretending to be annoyed.
"You do a good enough job of that on your own," Meilin smirked as she slung a small amount of the batter at me with the wooden spoon.
I tried to doge the flying dessert but sure enough the cake batter managed to get in my hair. "Hey, save some for the cake," I stated with an eye roll.
Meilin simply giggled that cute laughter of hers. Finally, the mix was done and we pored the cake into a pan and sat it into the oven.
After the cake was done and sitting on the shelf to cool. We started to mix the icing. The icing turned out to be white and fluffy and we made a lot of it, because the icing is the best part of any cake. Meilin did the honors of spreading the icing evenly over the cake. "Is it done now?" Meilin asked.
"Not quite yet," I replied with a slight blush thinking of what I would do.
I had made some pink icing and was planning on using it to write on the cake as a finishing touch. "I have one more thing I want to add but you have to promise not to look, turn around and don't peak," I instructed.
"I never will understand you," Meilin mumbled as she closed her eyes and faced the opposite direction.
There was no turning back now. Placing the nozzle of light pink icing on the cake I spelled out the words, I love you, Meilin.
I stood back admiring my work. I thought it looked nice, much better than my normal handwriting, but now I needed to see what Meilin thought of it. "You can turn around now," I stated slightly nervously.
"It's about time," she opened her eyes, I watched as cute red blush flooded her cheeks, my cheeks we just as red as hers," really," she stated hopefully.
"Y-yes, I love you," I stammered a bit as I blushed.
"I love you too," Meilin hugged me and placed a small kiss on my lips.
I was in shock but snapped out of it in time to kiss her back.
