~Broken~(Chapter 37)

I get about half way home before I realize that I'm right near my mom's house. I am freezing. this isn't something I wanted to do. My boyfriend just cheated on me. and then tried to act like nothing happened...

I finally get to her house and knock on the door. I wait about 30 seconds before she opens the door, looking very tired and very confused

"Meredith...is that you" she says opening up the door all the way revealing her Stitch PJs

I don't say anything but nod as I begin to sob

"oh honey... come in, you're probably freezing" she says pulling me in and walking me to the couch.

"what happened" she says handing me a towel

"He cheated on me, mom. at a club. with some random girl. and then tried to play it off like it didn't happen" I say stopping every so often to make sure I can actually get it all out. she looks at me wide eyed before wrapping her arms around me

"I am so sorry. that is something you shouldn't have to go through" she says rubbing my back. I sob into her chest until I have no tears left

"you left some clean clothes here when you moved out. do you want them and then we can watch a movie or something" she says standing up

"thanks mama. but I think I'm just going to go to bed. that was a really far walk" I say, she slowly nods before going upstairs to grab those clothes, when she hands me the clothes I slightly smile

"alright, sleep well. if you want to you can come upstairs and sleep in my bed, if not here are some blankets, I love you" She says pointing to the blankets that were on top of the couch. She goes upstairs as I get comfortable. I pull out my phone which surprisingly wasn't ruined from the rain and see I have 60 missed calls and 85 messages, all from Amanda and the guys but none from Shawn. I sigh before texting Amanda telling her where I was at before turning off my phone and pulling the blanket over me. it doesn't take long before I fall into a deep sleep...

Cameron's P.O.V

I was sitting on the couch with Nash when I get a phone call from Shawn. oh no.

Me: Hello?
Shawn: um, Cameron?
He sounds really fucked up...
Me: yeah, Shawn what's wrong?
Shawn: I don't know... the last thing i remember is me and Meredith were at a club downtown and we were having a drink and next thing i know is she's running out the door and... Cameron, I am so scared... what did I do...
Me: Shawn where are you. I'll come and pick you up just calm down
Shawn: I'm at that sport club downtown... i don't know the exact name
Me: alright, yeah i know where you're at. I'm on my way
*click*

"who was that?" Nash asks.

"it was Shawn, we have to go. He was either really drunk... or he was drugged" I say standing up. he follows me out to the car and we get in,

"what makes you think he was drugged" Nash asks me as I turn onto the highway

"He was talking really weird. and Shawn doesn't drink Alcohol. and he was talking about how something happened but he can't remember anything" I say my eyes focusing on the road.

"this doesn't make sense" he mumbles

"yeah, well he said Meredith ran out the door so she could be anywhere. and that terrifies me" I say griping the steering wheel tighter as we pull into the clubs parking lot. I see Shawn leaning against the wall near his car

"will you drive his car home? I don't think he's in the right mind to drive, or else we wouldn't have been called" I say to Nash, he nods before getting out of the car and walking up to Shawn. they talk for like 2 minutes then Shawn hands Nash the keys and they go their Separate ways. Once Shawn gets in, he sighs

"okay you're going to tell me exactly what happened from the start" I say pulling out of the parking lot. He sighs and rubs his face before turning to look at me

"We were at O'Charleys and I asked her if she wanted to go clubbing and she said yes so after we were done eating we went to the club, and everything was okay at first. I asked my friend to hook us up on some drinks. they weren't alcoholic because he knows were under 21... but after i went back and handed Meredith her drink, she said she had to go to the bathroom. and I don't remember anything after that...." he says on the verge of tears. I glance at him then back on the road

"so, you have no idea where Meredith is" I ask. he shakes his head and looks down

"I have no idea" he mumbles. I sigh as continue to follow Nash home. Once we pull into the driveway Shawn jumps out and goes up to his room without saying anything. me and Nash walk inside and sit on the couch.

"What the hell happened to him" Nash mumbles watching Shawn walk up the stairs.

"I think... I think he lost his girlfriend for good" I say looking at him and then down at my phone.

Meredith's P.O.V

"They called me into work so I have to go, are you alright being here by yourself or do you want me to take you home?" My mom asks me as she grabs her purse.

"no, I'll be fine here. I don't really want to go home right now" I say looking down.

"hey, the only thing I can tell you. is to talk to him... make sure he knows what he did was wrong... and what you do from there... that's up to you to make that decision" She says kissing my forehead.

"thanks mom" I whisper. she smiles a small smile at me before she walks out the door

"I love you" I hear her say from the doorway

"I love you too mom" I say back. she closes the door and I hear her pull out of the drive way. I stand up and grab my phone, walking into the kitchen I sit down at the table. I power my phone back on and look at all the missed messages from every one. I sigh and call Cameron

Cameron: Hello?
Me: Hey... um Cameron?
Cameron: Oh god Meredith is that you?
Me: yeah... it's me... do you remember where my mom's house is...
Cameron: yeah why?
Me: I need you to come over... and bring Amanda with you... please
Cameron: Of course, we'll be right over. I love you Meredith, stay strong
Me: I love you too
*click*

Now... all I have to do is sit around and wait for them to get here...

Cameron's P.O.V

"C'mon, Shawn you're going to have to see her eventually, might as well do it now" Amanda says trying to grab Shawn and pull him out to the car

"I don't want to... you guys didn't see it... the one thing I remember is the brokenness in her eyes... the way she looked at me... I caused that to happened... and I don't even know how" he says

"listen here Motherfucker. I don't know what you did to her but you obviously hurt her enough that she had to WALK all the way to her mother's house from that club. Now, you're going to go over there. And explain to her. Everything" Amanda says losing her grip and walking out to the car. Shawn puts his head down but follows, we all get in and drive to her mom's house. Once we get there we walk up to the front door and knock. Shawn stays in the back and looks down at his feet. She slowly opens the door and smiles

"He...What the hell is he doing here?"
