~Alive~ (chapter 43)

Shawn's P.O.V

"This helps us a lot. Thank you for coming to us" officer ross says before closing his notepad. I look around at Amanda and Taylor and see they're already looking at me

"I don't know. All we can do is hope. but...well make sure we get Hannah and Jake and make sure they pay for what they did to Meredith" he says. I nod as he stands up

"take all the time you need. There's a water jug thingie over there if you'd like to stay here for a while and clear your heads" he says. looking at us one more time before walking out the door. I sigh and look at Amanda and Taylor. And see Amanda has tears running down her face and Taylor is looking down at the ground

"I hope they find her... and find her soon. Because I can't do one more day without her in my arms" I say my voice cracking. Amanda puts her hand on my shoulder and nods.

"we all want her found. Meredith's a strong girl. She won't let them do anything to her without putting up a fight" Amanda says barley getting it out. I nod and stand up. walking over to the wall I lean against it and put my head in my hands.

"Shawn... are you alright?" Taylor says. I look at him and shake my head

"Meredith getting kidnapped. Is all my fault" I say looking down

"no Shawn. That wasn't your fault. No one knew Hannah was going to do this." Amanda says

"yeah. But the reason why she was at the club in the first place was my fault. She was there to find proof I was drugged" I say. they look at each other than Taylor sighs

"no man. It's not like that. She loves you, no one could have stopped her from finding proof to take that cunt down. She was pissed. Shawn were going to find her. And Hannah and Jake are going to pay for what they did to Meredith..." he stops in mid-sentence when we hear heavy footsteps coming down the hallway outside before the door slams open and officer Ross comes in

"We have a location. An old cabin down in the woods near blackbird's road. Does that sound familiar?" he says. I gasp before nodding

"yeah. We used to go to that cabin and hang out a long time ago. How come I didn't figure that out sooner" I say

"okay were heading there right now. You guys need to stay here. you'll be safer here" he says before slamming the door. I look around and see Amanda smiling

"I think they might have found her" I say debating whether I should text the other guys and tell them. Amanda sees me pull out my phone and grabs it from me

"don't do that. You don't want to get their hopes up in case they don't find her" she says. I nod and look down.

Officer Ross's P.O.V

This case has been my #1 priority since we were called to the club that one day.

"turn off all sirens. You don't want to scare them off" I say onto my radio to the other officers as we pull onto the road the cabin is on. I see the cabin slowly come into view.

"okay so, Lopez, King, you two go to the front door, Perez, Leanos and I are going to go to the back. The rest stay out here. if you see the suspects do not shoot unless you have to. I repeat. Do not shoot unless you have to" I say everyone nods and gets in their position. I run to the back door and turn to face Perez.

"do not shoot unless necessary" I whisper before kicking the door in. we go inside, guns ready, and walk around

"Clear" I hear Leanos say, he was searching the kitchen,

"all clear here" Perez says from the living room. I hear noises from inside the bedroom

"over here" I say, Perez and Lenos come up behind me as I turn the door knob. We barge in to see Hannah and Jake trying to get out the side window

"Freeze, don't move" I say pointing my gun at them. Jake was the only one standing in the room so he automatically backs away from Hannah, who was half way out the Window,

"I have a dozen officers outside that window. You'll never make it Hannah, don't even try it" I say. she smirks at me before jumping the rest of the way

"Lenos, go" he doesn't say anything but runs out the door. Perez walks up to Jake as I keep my gun trained on him. He puts the handcuffs on him

'You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attor..." I hear his voice slowly go out of ear shot. I look around the room. two more officers come into the room

"was the female suspect caught?" I ask.

"yes, officer Lenos caught her, they are both with officer Lenos and Perez" he says. I nod and look around.

"you search this room" I say pointing to the first officer.

"and you, follow me" I walk out the room and into the living room

"you search this one" I say the officer nods, I go into the kitchen and start looking through cupboards, anywhere that could give us a hint where Meredith could be. I look everywhere before standing back, rubbing my head, I look around and see a little door behind the kitchen table.

"hey I think I found something" I yell out to other officers. I move the table and slowly open the door. I feel the presence of other officers behind me so I walk inside and go down the stairs. there's another door, I look around and nod to the officers, they pull out there's guns as I open the door. we all run in and see a girl, who I'm guessing was Meredith, lying on the ground passed out with her hands and feet tied together. I look around and see there's nobody else in here

"go get the paramedics, now" I say as I walk up to the girl and start to untie her hands. She feels my presence and starts to flip out

"hey hey, no stop we're here to help you" I say. once she realizes that I'm not going to hurt her she relaxes and lets me pick her up and take her upstairs where the paramedics are waiting to take her to the hospital. I set her down on the stretcher, I watch as they roll her away

"we did good" Lenos says coming up behind me

"yes, we did. Thank you for your work on the force" I say as we walk outside, getting inside squad car. As we make our way to the hospital

Shawn's P.O.V

It's been like 2 hours since they left why haven't we've heard anything "I say rubbing my head

"be patient Shawn..." Amanda says. we hear a lot of talking before the door of the room opens and a new officer comes through. I think he said his name was Perez?

"I think y'all would like to make your way to the hospital" he says smiling, I shoot out of my seat

"she's alive?" I say smiling at Amanda and Taylor

"yes, very much alive. And she's been asking for you" he says before
