Meredith's P.O.V

"Meredith oh my god" I hear as Amanda rushes into the hospital room. I'm sitting up so she basically tackles me, trying not to hurt me

"I missed you so much" she whispers. I start to tear up as I squeeze my arms around her. I feel another presence in the room so I look over her shoulder and see Taylor smiling at us. I let go of Amanda as she sits down next to me, smiling ear to ear, I look up at Taylor

"hey tay-tay" I say slightly smiling. He shakes his head and comes and sits next to me on the other side

"I missed you Mere-bear" I glare at him before side hugging him.

"okay... don't get me wrong, I am soooo happy to see y'all but where are the others, and Shawn?" I say my voice getting quieter as I remember the last time I saw him.

"the others are at home. I figure we can surprise them once you get released. Which should be soon. and Shawn's currently pacing outside. He feels like what happened to you is his fault" Taylor mumbles. I look up at him and roll my eyes

"I'm going to beat that boy I swear..." I'm interrupted by a doctor and a police officer coming in with a sad smile plastered on their faces.

"I would like to speak to Meredith, alone" the officer says. I look confused before I start to get nervous. What do they want to talk to me about...?

"uhm. Actually, I want to have Amanda in here with me, and Taylor don't hate me but can get please get Shawn in here and then come back in" I say looking down. Taylor nods before side hugging me, standing up and walking out the door. I look down, after like 30 seconds, I feel them come back in the room, not looking at him, I look at the doctor and nod. He quietly coughs before speaking

"okay Ms. Smith, so the tests that we did confirm that you were sexually assaulted." I hear Amanda gasp beside me and a tension fill the room

"yeah. I assumed they would show that since it happened" I say barley over a whisper. I look around and see Shawn and Taylor are no longer in the room. I sigh as the officer pulls up a chair in front of me

"so, you remember everything that happened?" he says.

"unfortunately," I say. he nods and looks back at the doctor.

"Meredith. There will be a trial. And Hannah and Jake are going to pay for what they did. I can promise you that I will not give this up without a fight. Just, for now. Relax. And go after that boyfriend of yours... him and this young lady next you are the main reasons we found you when we did." He says. I nod tearing up. Amanda touches my shoulder. I look at her and smile

"okay so were going to release you, but make sure you stay close so If we have to do anymore tests we can. Just get changed, which I'm under the impression that your friend brought clothes for you. And then meet at the desk so you can sign the paper and then you should keep it easy for the next couple of weeks" he says. I nod as I slowly stand up. he walks out the door as I grab the bag of clothes from Amanda,

"do you need some help?" she says worried

"no, I'm okay. I'm hurting but I can still walk. Can you wait outside for me?" I say. she nods before going outside. I slowly change into the clothes and walk out the room. I go up to the desk and sign the release papers. Once I'm finally able to leave. We start to walk out to the lobby. I take a deep breath and push open the doors. I see Taylor trying to comfort a worried Shawn. They both look up at me before Shawn shoots up and starts to walk over to me, my breathing starts to get heavy as I see the person I love. What if he moved on...
