Meredith's P.O.V

"what the hell you mean were going out to dinner with him" I say to Amanda as I finish putting my mascara on

"well you see, we weren't going to tell you, but I didn't want you to like flip out so, I figured I'd tell you now instead of you just finding out" she says, I shake my head and look down

"I don't... I don't know if I can see him" I mumble. She outs her hand on my shoulder and smiles

"you can. You guys need to start talking again, become friends. it's hard to see you tense every time his name gets brought up.

"Is it bad" I whisper.

"is what bad" she says

"that, even though I have Brandon, I'd leave him for Shawn. Without hesitation" I say. she sighs and sits down next to me

"do you even love Brandon, or is he just a way for you to get over Shawn" she says. I shrug and look down

"there's something weird about Brandon, every single time I see him, I think about Hannah, they look similar. And I don't know, I can tell he's hiding something from me. every time I look at him, he's on his phone, texting someone, and if I ask he tells me not to worry about it. I just... I'm such a bad person but I miss Shawn so much" I say, trying to hold back the tears. She rubs my back and nods

"and now, you have a chance to make it right" she whispers, I shake my head

"he's with Katelyn... he's over me. and I don't deserve him any ways" I whisper. I hear gentle knocking on the door.

"come in" Amanda says. the door slowly opens and Nash peeks his head in

"we have to go, everyone's waiting outside" he says looking at me. I look down and nod

"then let's go" I say grabbing the stuff I need.

"we'll be outside" Amanda says patting my shoulder. I nod and grab my shoes. I put them on and sigh. I walk down stairs and outside. We get all the seating arrangements and start out drive to the restaurant

"okay listen here, if it starts to get awkward, one of you mother fuckers better make a god damn joke" I say to the guys.

"this is going to be awkward for all of us Meredith, the only one he's talked to is Nash" Cameron says

"for the 100th time, he felt like all you hated him" Nash says. I roll my eyes

"well, better figure out how to make it not so awkward because were here" I mumble parking the car, we get out, and I slowly make my way to the back of the group. We walk in, and I follow everyone else to the table.

"hey, look it's the big superstar" I hear Taylor say, I peek my head up and see Shawn laughing, my gasp and look away, the tears forming, I turn on my heel and go to walk out the door, when someone puts their hand on my shoulder

"Meredith where are you going" Aaron whispers, I slowly turn around to see everyone looking at me

"oh uh, just try...trying to find the bathroom" I say glancing at Amanda, she looks at me wide eyed before nodding

"it's over here c'mon I'll show you" she says grabbing my arm, pulling me towards the bathroom

"thank you" I say.

"listen, its one night, that's it, can you last a couple hours, and I promise when we get home, we can eat a bunch of ice cream and watch the 100" she says. I smile and nod
