Meredith's P.O.V

"hey mom" I smile at her as we all walk into Longhorn.

"hey sweetie" she smiles. I see Amanda's mom sitting at a big table. I smile and wave at her. She waves back. We all go in and sit down and order our drinks

"so, how long are you guys planning on being gone?" Amanda's mom asks no one in particular

"uh two months" Cameron says nodding. My mom looks at me with sadness in her eyes.

"you're going to be gone for your birthday?" she says to me. I look around and see that no one was paying attention

"uh yeah but don't say anything... I don't want anyone knowing" I whisper. she nods and looks down at her lap. I smile at Shawn who was now looking at me.

"you're cute" he says. I blush and look down at my lap

"I'm not but thanks" I say smiling at him, he glares at me and leans closer

"you are, don't test me, we can argue about this all-day baby girl" he whispers. I stay quiet but look down blushing

"exactly" I hear him chuckle. The waitress comes back with our drinks and takes our orders. After everyone gives her the orders, she walks away and everyone looks at me.

"what is everyone looking at me for" I ask looking around

"are you sure you're okay with going back on tour?" Taylor asks me. I look down at my lap. Remembering everything that happened last time.

"yeah, I'm ready" I mumble nodding. Shawn puts his hand on my thigh, making me look up.

"are you sure? Meredith, no one will be mad if you don't want to go?" Nash says. I nod and smile

"I wouldn't want to do anything else, other then go on tour with my best friends" I say. I see a smile go on everyone's faces

"I love you all, thank you for making this possible for me" Amanda says. I hear a couple of 'awhs' and 'I love you tos'. The food comes and we all eat in silence with a little small talk here and there. Once everyone is done, Cameron and my mom start having an argument about who's going to pay.

"Cameron, I invited you guys here so it's my job to pay for it" my mom says for the 100th time

"and I don't care" Cameron shoots back. I roll my eyes and grab the bill, putting my credit card in it, and handing it, and handing it back to the lady. Making my mother smacks my arm

"what was that for" she says.

"you guys just kept on arguing and I settled it" I smile and my mom both glare at me, making me laugh

"well, I guess I should get home" my mom says with sadness in her voice, I feel the tears form in my eyes as I stand up, giving her a hug

"oh no don't start crying, you're going to make me cry" she says laughing. I slightly laugh and pull away.

"I love you mama, come to one of our shows okay?" I ask her. She nods and smiles

"of course, now all of y'all better stay out of trouble, you hear me?" she says turning around looking at everyone. Making everyone laugh.

"I love you Meredith" she says giving me one more last hug

"I love you too Mama" I whisper to her. After we pull away, I walk over to Amanda and her mom and smile

"I'm sorry for leaving you again" I say laughing, pulling her into a hug

"it's alright, just promise me you won't get hurt this time" she says. I nod and pull away
