*Meredith's P.O.V*

"i don't want to leave" I say pouting as Shawn packs the rest of the stuff into the trunk

"i know baby. but we have to go home. Amanda is starting to freak. especially since you didn't text her back for 2 days" he glares at me

"i just wanted it to be us. i didn't want to be bothered all week" i mumble. i watch him close the trunk and walk up to me

"this week has been the best week ive ever had with you. I'm sad it has to end too but i promise well come back up here once we get all moved into the new house" he says kissing my forehead.

"i still cant believe Jack and jack are leaving. I'm gonna miss them so much. and Taylor, oh my I'm gonna cry" I laugh.

"come on, lets get home. and you can see them all before they leave" he mumbles. I feel like theres something wrong. but I'm not really sure

"Shawn is something wrong?" I say

"what? no. I'm fine" he smiles.

"okay because you know that if there was something wrong you can talk to me about it right?" I mumble.

"of course baby. I promise" he says holding open the door for me. I get inside and watch him close the door and runs to the other side. once he gets in, he starts the car and grabs my hand.

"I'm tired" I say yawning. Shawn looks at me and laughs

"then go to sleep" he says. I shrug and lean against the window. but after a couple of minutes. I let the tiredness take over. and everything goes black.

*Shawn's P.O.V*

Meredith doesn't know the real reason we have to go home is because Katelyn is coming tomorrow. I don't want her finding out about the whole 'Katelyn's pregnant' thing until I know its mine. because I honestly doubt its mine. but if it is. I want and need to be in my babies life so ill have to tell Meredith eventually.

I look over to see Meredith asleep and sigh. honestly I she is the one girl I want to marry. I don't want to have anything to do with Katelyn but if shes the mother of my kid I gonna have to deal with her.

I just got my dream to come true. and then this happens.

I hear soft snores coming from Meredith.

She really is the love of my life. I know she is going to be completely crushed when I tell her. I just hope I don't lose her in the long run.

*Katelyn's P.O.V*

"Be careful" Brandon says to me.

"i will. I hope this works" I say grabbing the pregnancy test off the counter. I grab my suitcase and go outside. and get into the taxi that is taking me to the airport.

Hopefully. this will get rid of Meredith once and for all.

Meredith's P.O.V

I've been sitting here awake for the past hour, Shawn doesn't know that. he pulls into a rest stop and parks. I try to close my eyes and go back to sleep once Shawn gets out. after a couple of minutes, his phone starts ringing. I lean over and grab it and look at the caller ID to see its Katelyn.

"you fucking kidding me" I mumble as I press answer.

Me: Hello? why are you calling my boyfriends phone.

Katelyn: Oh hey Meredith, I was just calling to tell Shawn I'm about to get on a plane there so I can show him I'm pregnant with HIS baby.

I feel my whole body go numb.

Me: w...what are you taking about.

Katelyn: oh Shawny boy didn't tell you? well that's too bad. I got to go I'm about to board the plane. see you in a couple hours sweetie. bye

and the phone goes silent

I slowly move the phone from my ear and set it on his seat. I look up to see Shawn walking back down to the car. I shake my head and get out. tears running down my face.

"hey baby your awake" he smiles.

"save it Shawn, Katelyn just got on a plane and is coming down here to show that she's pregnant with your actually baby. and apparently you've known for awhile, so save it. I don't want to hear it" I say. his face goes blank.

"h..how did you find out" he whispers.

"your phone starting ringing and I answered it. turns out it was Katelyn letting you know" I shake my head and turn. walking towards the bathroom. I feel a strong hand grab my wrist and pull me around.

"Meredith please listen to me" he says.

"Shawn why didn't you tell me. you know you can tell me anything. if you got her pregnant then okay. we weren't together for awhile when it happened. but you didn't tell me. that's what I'm mad about. not the fact you got her pregnant, but because I had to find out, from her" I say. he shakes his head and looks down at the ground

"because. we were just finally getting happy. we were on our way here when she called me. I didn't want to tell anyone until I was sure the baby was mine" he says. I notice tears forming in his eyes.

"Shawn. I'm not going to tell anyone. I just wish you would have told me" I say shaking out of his grip and walking to the bathroom. I look in the mirror to see bags under my eyes and my eyes all red and puffy. I sit on the counter and take my phone out of my pocket and text Amanda

Me: hey! were about 45 minutes away. ill see you then!!

I lock my phone and sigh. 

why cant I just be happy once in my life.
