CONNOR POV

Connor tugged on the collar of his white shirt, awaiting Evan's arrival. He pulled his hair back into a ponytail and tried to get his hands to stop shaking so much. He was ridiculously nervous. He wiped his sweaty palms on his tuxedo and looked at himself in the mirror. Hopefully Evan would still love him even though he looked like he'd definitely tried too hard.

"CONNOR!" Zoe screamed through the house.

"WHAT?"

"HELP ME MY GODDAMN HAIR WONT CURL!!" She yelled back. Connor groaned and rolled his eyes before making his way to his sister's room. She sat in a flowing white dress with gold details, her brown hair wrapped around a curling iron, pouting.

"You're doing it wrong. Give me that." Connor said dismissively and took the iron from her. It took about ten minutes to completely finish her hair. "See? You just do it yourself I don't know what to tell you." Zoe playfully pushed him before looking at her phone.

"Oh god. They'll be here any minute." He could tell from her voice that she was just as scared as he was. She looked at him and laughed nervously.

The doorbell rang, making them both jump. "I'm gonna fucking puke." Connor said, feeling white hot anxiety shoot through his chest.

"You'll be fine. It'll be fine!" Zoe sounded like she was trying to convince the both of them. Connor strode out of the room with his sister before opening the door.

Evan wore a navy blue suit with a black tie. His hair was up in a quiff. He had a small marigold pinned to his lapel and was holding a matching one. Connor tried not to stare but then realized that that would be pointless. Evan had left him breathless. Yet again. He just looked so...stunningly gorgeous, standing against the night, and he grinned nervously at Connor. Everything melted away. There was just Evan in the world, and nothing else mattered.

"Are you guys okay?" Alana asked. Connor jumped, having forgotten that she was there for Zoe. He looked at his sister who was staring open mouthed at her girlfriend, who was wearing a velvety, deep purple dress with a slit up the thigh. Alana laughed and kissed the expression off of Zoe's face.

"Igotthisforyouitsamarigoldobviouslyitmatchesminethatsoundedsoweirdsorry." Evan thrusted the flower into Connor's hands (which had a fresh coat of black nail polish). Connor took the flower and smiled at Evan.

"Thanks. You look..." he couldn't even think of the words to describe the way he felt, he was just so blown away.

"Dumb? Weird? Like I t-tried to hard?" Evan guessed.

"...perfect." Connor finished, making Evan blush adorably. Connor pinned his marigold to his breast pocket, and took Evan's hand. He rubbed the back of it with his thumb.

"We brought a limo." Alana said, smiling. "It was a favor to me from city hall because of all the hours I spend volunteering to sort files. It was like half the price as normal. You guys should really try volunteering, it feels amazing to give back to the community." She finished, leading them all out to a black limousine.

"This is amazing! You're amazing." Zoe said in awe, causing Alana to blush lightly.

"L-let's get going, yeah?" Evan asked, approaching the car with Connor in tow. A chauffeur held open the door for them all and gestured for them to go inside.
