EVAN POV

Evan woke up again, but this time it was actually light outside. He pulled the sleeping form of his boyfriend closer to him and gave him a hug. Connor opened his eyes sleepily.

"Hey Evan. Good morning." He said in a scratchy voice.

"Hi Con. H-how are you feeling?" Evan asked, burying his face in Connor's neck.

"I'm much better. You make everything better."  Connor put a hand behind Evan's head and Evan could hear the smile in his voice.

"Good." Evan mumbled. He pulled himself away from Connor and stood up. OH MY GOD. He suddenly remembered that he was only wearing his boxers. He froze self consciously.

"Wow." Connor said softly.

"Y-yeah I know. I'm r-really pale and chubby and g-gross and...."

"Absolutely gorgeous." Connor said in awe. Evan didn't feel so ugly anymore.

"R-really?" Evan stammered. Connor nodded open mouthed.

"Hell yeah. I hit the fucking jackpot. Is there anything about you that isn't goddamn adorable?" Connor said, almost to himself. Evan felt himself blush. He pulled on some sweatpants and a t shirt, sticking out his tongue at Connor.

"You're the c-cute one in the relationship." Evan said, looking over Connor's muscular arms and messy hair. Connor laughed and stood up, wrapping a blanket around himself.

"Liar." He said, tapping Evan's nose. He grinned up at the tall boy. "Do you have clothes I could borrow?"

"Oh. Yeah." Evan said, secretly wishing that he didn't. He opened his closet and pulled out a hoodie that used to belong to his cousin and joggers that his mom thought he would eventually grow into. Which obviously didn't happen. He tossed the clothes to Connor and smiled shyly at him. Connor blushed and threw on the clothes, which actually fit relatively well. "B-breakfast?"

"Yes please." Connor said, following Evan downstairs.

"Okay w-well...we have b-bread for toast or some possibly stale c-cereal. We also have milk." He said, trying to keep a straight face. Connor either didn't notice or pretended not to notice, and grabbed the box of Cheerios. "S-sorry we don't have much." Evan felt bad that the food was limited. He hated admitting that he was poor and he hated that he didn't have other options.

"It's actually pretty efficient. You don't have to waste time, yknow?" Connor gave Evan a half smile. God, Evan was thankful that Connor was so understanding. Evan made himself some toast and the two ate their breakfast across from each other. It reminded Evan of a movie. A couple wake up and make breakfast and eat it together. That's what real couples do. Evan looked over at his boyfriend and saw his future there. Connor glanced up from his cereal, mid chew. "What?" He asked, his mouth full.

"Don't speak w-with your mouth full." Evan giggled. Connor swallowed the food dramatically.

"Better?" He asked.

"Much, thank you." Evan responded, combing a hand through his unruly hair. "D-darn hair won't lay f-flat." He muttered, continuing to attempt to fix his dirty blond hair.

"It's okay. It looks cute." Connor shrugged, looking at Evan with that look in his eyes that made his heart melt. Evan blushed and tried to look away, but Connor reached his hand across the table and held Evan's, stroking it. "Hey. You know I love you right?"

"Y-yeah. And I love you." Evan grinned and kissed Connor's hand. Connor opened his mouth to respond when the front door opened.

"Hi Ev....and...Connor!" Heidi said, bursting through the door. Evan instinctively let go of his boyfriend's hand.

"H-hey mom." Heidi raised an eyebrow at the boys.

"So...what are you two up to?" She asked, raising an eyebrow suggestively.

"Moooom!" Evan felt himself turn pink at what she was implying.

"Hi Ms. Hansen." Connor said without skipping a beat. "I was wondering if I could take Evan somewhere today?" Startled, Evan looked at him.

"Yeah that's fine. You boys have fun and don't do anything too..."

"...gay?" Connor guessed, making Evan's mom laugh.

"I was going to say dangerous, actually." She wrapped an arm around Evan and kissed him on the head. "I love you sweetie."

"Love you too, mom." Evan responded. He looked at Connor questioningly as his mother left the room.

"Wh-where are we going?" He asked, confused.

"You'll see. Can I drive?" Connor asked, pointing to Evan's keys on the counter.

"Y-yeah." Connor stood up, neatly put away his cereal and milk, and grabbed Evan's hand.

"Let's go then." Connor said, looking mischievous.

What is going on in his head? Evan wondered.
