CONNOR POV

Connor woke up early, actually excited for the day. Today he and Evan would graduate. He shifted his weight so as not to wake the sleeping Evan who was using his chest as a pillow. He smiled at the sleeping form of his boyfriend and placed an actual pillow under his dirty blond head so Connor could stand up and stretch without the guilt of making Evan get up at this ungodly hour. He stood up and looked around at Evan's room. It was mostly cleared and put in boxes except for a bed and a nightstand with a glass of water and a framed picture of the two of them. After graduation, Evan would be moving in with Connor and Zoe. Connor was so excited, he couldn't even think about it without breaking into a smile. He checked his watch, which read 6:35 am.

Connor walked over to where he'd thrown his shirt last night and picked it up, smelling it. Deciding it didn't smell too bad, he put it on. He glanced over at the open closet and the graduation gowns hanging there and smiled, hardly daring to believe it. Today was the day.

Connor heard rustling on the bed and looked back at Evan, who's eyes were slightly open.

"Come back to bed.." he whined, his voice still scratchy from sleep.

"I can't sleep I'm too excited. You have your speech prepared?" Connor asked. Evan had asked if he could give a speech to create awareness for mental health and the importance of every person. Surprisingly, the headmaster enthusiastically gave permission.

"Y...yeah." Evan yawned. "I don't want t-to get up..."

"GOOD MORNING MY FAVORITE GAY KIDS!!" Heidi burst through the door holding two paper plates piled with eggs and bacon. Connor laughed and took the plates. Evan buried his head under a pillow and groaned.

"Thanks Heidi." Connor said, smiling.

"No problem, Connor. Get up, Ev! Good morning! Time to start the day!!" Evan rolled over and looked up sleepily, his hair all messy. Hot... Connor thought as he looked dreamily at his boyfriend.

"You guys should start getting ready." Heidi warned.

"B-but it's so early!" Evan said, sitting up and taking his breakfast from Connor.

"Graduation is at noon. It's 6:52. You have like five hours to get all spiffy." Heidi said, as if five hours was hardly any time at all.

"Spiffy?" Connor smirked, earning a glare from Heidi. Evan giggled.

"Yes. Spiffy. Maybe brush your hair?" She reached to touch Connor's hair and he dodged out of the way.

"Okay, okay! I'll brush it!" He yelped, batting her hand away.

"Okay, good. I'll leave you to it!" She winked and left the room, closing the door behind her. Connor sat by Evan on his bed. Evan was leaned against the wall still partially under the covers with his plate on his lap. The boys ate in silence, until Evan spoke up.

"Today's the day..." he said nervously.

"Yep." Connor ruffled Evan's hair. "You're going to be great."

"I doubt it." Evan said with his mouth full.

"You always tell me not to talk with my mouth full, but you get a free pass? No fair." Connor teased gently. Evan opened his mouth, showing the remains of egg and bacon. "Gross!" Connor exclaimed, laughing. Evan smiled and swallowed his food.

"B-better?"

"Much better. Thank you." He pecked Evan on the cheek and threw away his empty paper plate. Evan passed his over to Connor to toss as well. "Ready for the day?" Connor asked.

"Um no! I'm not even w-wearing a shirt. Or pants. All I've got on a-are boxers." Evan said, looking at Connor like he was crazy.

"So?" Connor winked, making Evan turn scarlet. He tackled Connor to the ground and pressed his lips softly against his. Connor opened his mouth and let Evan's tongue inside, smiling at the familiar taste. He rolled over so he was on top of the shorter boy. Evan moaned softly and allowed Connor to kiss passionately back. Connor felt the gently pull of Evan's hand on his hair and put one arm around his waist and the other behind Evan's neck.

After a few minutes, Connor pulled away. "You know I love you, right?" He asked.

"Of course." Evan smiled and pushed Connor off of him. "Now g-get off I need to put on a shirt." Connor pouted and stood up, helping Evan to his feet.

Evan put on a t shirt with a picture of a tree on it. Obviously. He then pulled on a pair of khakis and twirled around. "Ta-da!" He laughed. Connor blushed at his boyfriend's antics and pulled him into a hug.

"Ready to graduate?" He mumbled into Evan's neck.

"Y-yeah." Evan replied, kissing Connor on the cheek.

"Let's go then. You and me against the world." They held hands, their rings clinking against each other.

And Connor was happy.
