"Javier, may I have a word with you?" Father came into my room and I stood up, "No, sit."

I sat back down, "What is it?"

Why do I have this uneasy feeling?

I then saw Driscoll, flying above his shoulder with a smirk on his face. That little snitch.

"I've heard from Driscoll, that you ordered Kirstein to keep a very important information from me, is this true?" my Father raised his eyebrows.

I glared at Driscoll, who just put his tongue out.

"No, sir," I said and he nodded.

"Sir, why don't you ask Kirstein herself?" Driscoll said and I swear, I've killed that little kiss up of a pixie several times over.

"Is that alright with you Javier?" Father asks and I look at Kirstein, I gave her a nod.

"Yes," It was bound to get out anyway, but I had to make sure to tell Sigmund first before Elira's parents hears it from my Father.

"Kirstein, is there anything that I need to know?" my Father looks at Kirstein and I could see he was going to use his magic to tell if she was lying or not. Even if Kirstein wanted to lie, it was hopeless against my father's magic.

One of the many reasons why, my Father has been Euria's Royal Adviser, for over a century. He was able to give the best advice, by finding out information using his magic to get it out of people. His magic was only null and void, towards the Royals, which would mean that even if he tried asking Ninurta, Tristan and Elira, himself, he'd never get them to say it. How I wish that was the case for Kirstein.

"No, sir," Kirstein said and I stare at her.

"What are you doing?!" our minds were still linked from a while ago.

"Trust me," Kirstein said just staring at my father.

"Then Driscoll must've been misinformed," Father said.

"Sir-"

"We're leaving Driscoll, sorry for disturbing you," Father smiles and turns towards the exit.

"I'll find out what you're hiding," Driscoll said and left with my Father.

"Don't say anything yet," Kirstein said.

"Okay, they're gone," Kirstein flew over to me.

"How?" I raised my eyebrow and she let out a sigh.

"There's only one rule that prevents us pixies from leaking information, it's the oath we made towards the person we're loyal to. Since I answer to you and not your Father, I was able to not tell him," Kirstein said and I remembered.

"So even if he used his magic?" she nodded.

"You didn't care to mention this before?" I asked and she smirked.

"It's funny, seeing you worried," she shrugged and flew out of the room, "Are you coming?"

I shake my head and stood up, going out of the room.

Sigmund and I decided we would report to King Aris ourselves, about what happened to Elira. Knowing, the King, he will not take it lightly, but I hoped he wouldn't do anything rash.

*

"Why am I only hearing of this now?!" King Aris rose up from his throne, "Sigmund, I did not appoint you as Vice General for this! And you Javier! I respected you because I respect your father Valentino, but you're disgracing his name!"
