1:16: It's Called Double Dating, Caroline

I'm with Elena and Stefan as we're by her locker. "Damon hasn't said a word to me. Every time I try to talk to him he shuts me down." He says. "Do you think he's still trying to find Katherine?" Elena asks. "I don't know. He waited a hundred and forty five years only to find out that Katherine could not care less. I mean it's gotta hurt, right?" I ask. "And it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy." She says. "Easy, Elena. If Damon was all that bad, I may not even be alive from the car crash and almost getting hit by one." I say and grab my psychology textbook from the locker on her left side. "Sorry." She says. "It's okay." I say and close my locker. "You have every reason to be upset with him. Have you thought any more about what you're going to do?" Stefan asks. "About what? Isobel, our vampire birth mother, who's related to our vampire ancestor Katherine and Dimitri, who screwed over you and your vampire brother? Nah.. I haven't thought about it at all." Elena says, sarcastically and I chuckle, and Stefan smiles. "I'm sorry I brought it up." He says. "It'd just be nice if we could get through one day without having to deal with any of it. No vampire mother or brother." Elena says. "No vampires at all?" He asks. "No vampires but you. I just want to get us back to normal stuff like school and homework and here's a thought: fun." She says. "Ooh, that sounds good to me, when do we start?" He asks. "Please not with the making out." I say, sarcastically and we all laugh, walking to class.

We're by Stefan's locker with Caroline after class as she's talking about a date night. "I'm thinking nothing huge, just a dinner at the grill maybe a late movie." She says. "You mean like a double date?" Stefan asks. "Triple date. Three pairs, out on a Friday night coupled. Yeah a triple date." She says. "Um.. who's the triple people?" I ask. "You and Tyler Lockwood." She says. "Excuse me?" I ask, crossing my arms at her. "Come on, it'll be fun. Tyler's totally bi." She says and I roll my eyes at her. "Do you think that's a good idea?" Elena asks. "Why not? We all haven't gone out together before and I don't want it to be uncomfortable for us. Look the couple dynamics have changed and there's been a little awkwardness between you, Matt, and me and I just think it's important that we get over it." Caroline says. "I don't know." Elena says. "I think that sounds like a great idea." Stefan says and we all look at him. "You do?" I ask. "Yeah. Yeah, a nice evening out with friends. And Tyler Lockwood. Sounds fun, as in fun. Hm?" Stefan asks her. "A triple date it is." Elena says and I sigh. "Fine. But only if you can work your magic to get my out of gym for the rest of the school year and put me in a different elective that doesn't involve physical activity." I say to Caroline. "Deal. So, we will see you all tonight." Caroline says. "Ok." Elena and I say at the same time. "Ok." Caroline says, smiling and walks off.

I hear a knock on the door and open it with my right hand, seeing Stefan holding white roses in his right hand. "You got me flowers!" I exclaim, sarcastically and he chuckles. "I figured it's a date, why not do it right? I would have driven too but you're the one with the car." He says as we walk into the house and I hear him close the door behind him. "You know, you think that for someone who was around when the car was invented you would have one." I say as we walk to the kitchen so he can put them in a vase. "Oh, I have one. I just never drive it." He says. "You know, it's not too late to cancel. I don't mind having to take gym the rest of the school year if this date cancels." I say and Elena walks in. "Why would we do that?" He asks. "I don't know, it just seems surreal. Like maybe we weren't meant to get to the normal part." She says and goes to smell the new flowers. "That's exactly why we're going to do it. We're going to go out, have some fun and try to remember that we don't have to be so serious. Listen, when I decided to stay here and to get to know you, it so that I could do things like this. Bring my girlfriend flowers, take her out on a date, and try to be normal." He says and she sighs. "Have you ever been on a double date before? Well, in this case, a triple." She says. "Oh, absolutely. Um, nineteen seventy-two. Hef and the twins." He says and Elena and I both laugh. "What?" I ask. "Yeah. Playmates. I got Miss June." He says and offers his arms for both of us, and I take his left while she takes his right. "Are you serious?" I ask.
