Kol's POV:

I'm sitting in the living room with Nik and see Rebekah walk in with her hair all over the place and the dress from last night. "Well, well, well, there's our girl!" I exclaim and walk over to her, blocking her path. "Get out of my way, Kol." She says. "Out all night. What a scandal! I trust you did better than that commoner? Matt, was it?" I ask, grinning. "If you don't shut your mouth, the next thing to come out of it will be your teeth." She says and shoves past me. "Don't start, Nik." She says as I turn around. "I didn't say anything." Klaus says. "I'm bored. Our sister is a strumpet, but at least she's having fun. I need entertainment." I say, sitting back down on the couch, grinning at Nik. "What are you waiting for? Go on, have at it." He says. "It's not fun to go alone. Join me, Nik! It's the least you can do after sticking a dagger in my heart. Maybe we should invite Adam with us." I say. "So the rumors are true. You do have a heart someone in there." Rebekah says and I roll my eyes at her. "Sensitive spot, are we?" Nik asks as I look at him. "Okay. Why not? I didn't have nearly enough to drink last night, what with you trying to murder Rebekah's date." He says, standing up and begins to walk off, and I follow him, smiling. "Yes, please go. This house has enough men rolling around it in." Rebekah says and I grin at her. "Just like you, Bekah." I say and point at her with my right index finger, and put it down, and she throws her shoe at me that's in her right hand, but I dodge it. "Good riddance, both of you!" She exclaims and I leave.

Adam's POV:

I walk downstairs after hearing a knock on the front door and open it with my right hand, seeing Elijah. "Adam." He says, smiling at me and I smile back. "Elijah." I say. "I don't mean to intrude. I was hoping you might accompany me. I want to show you something." He says.

We arrive to the woods in Elijah's car and he parks, and we get out, and I close my door with my right hand. "Forgot how much I missed this land." He says. "I can't even imagine what it must have been like a thousand years ago." I say and adjust my jacket as it's rather cold out and we're walking. "You know, your school was built over an Indian village. Where I saw my first werewolf. The town square was where the natives would gather to worship. Matter of fact, near that, there was a-- a field where wild horses use to graze." He says. "That's amazing." I say as we stop by a tree and I look around. "Come." He says and I follow him again to a rock area. "Do you know this place too?" I ask. "I do. Below us is a cavern I use to play in as a boy. Connects to a system of tunnels that stretch across the entire area. Perhaps it's nature's way of providing us with shelter against the savagery of the full moon. My mother said there must be a balance." He says, crouching down and picks up some grass with his right hand. "Elijah, I should probably go home. It's freezing." I say and he stands back up. "I admire you, Adam. You remind me of qualities I valued long before my mother turned us. It's not in your sister's nature to be deceitful and yet when I asked about her meeting with my mother the other night, she lied to my face." He says. "Lied about what?" I ask. "You don't know, do you? I know your sister must have done something. What is it?" He asks. "She didn't tell me anything, Elijah. I swear." I say. "Think of what she may have done, Adam." He says and I give a small gasp. "What is it, Adam?" He asks, taking a step forward. "We were told that whatever was going to be in that coffin was going to kill Klaus. When we found out that it was your mother.. we didn't know what to think." I say. "Since her return she says she only wants this family whole again." He says. "She just doesn't want to help us kill Klaus." I say. "She wants to kill us all, doesn't she? She wants to undo the evil she created." He says. "I'm so sorry, Elijah. I wish there was something I could do to help." I say. "You know, one thing I've learned on my time on this Earth.. be careful what you wish for." He says and I look at him confused, and he stomps the ground, creating a hole and grabs my waist, and jumps down.

I'm in the hole as Elijah is gone and I'm trying to get a signal with my phone that is in my right hand, but to no avail.

I'm walking around in the caverns and I think I see a way out, and run to it, getting stopped by Rebekah. "Going somewhere?" She asks. "What are you doing here?" I ask. "Not much. Unless you try to run. In which case, I have to kill you." She says and smiles at me.

Rebekah is recording me on her cell phone. "Alright, love, now look into the camera." She says. "What are you doing?" I ask. "Shooting a picture to inspire your sister's boyfriends. Why don't you tell them how delightful it is being stuck in a hole with the Original Barbie?" She asks. "This isn't my fault. We wanted to get rid of Klaus. At one point, so did you. I didn't know that your mom was planning on killing all of you. Elena didn't tell me anything so I practically had to make a guess. Then again, I'm never wrong." I say. "Do you think I want to spend what could be the last few hours of my life having idle chit-chat with a boy who's half-sister literally stabbed me in the back? Of course not. But for some reason, everybody seems to want to bend over backwards to save your and Elena's life, which is incredibly annoying, but makes you the perfect hostage. So, why don't you sit down and shut up before I ruin everything by ripping your head off. But then again, I hope you survive since my family and I don't find you annoying at all. It's just business, love." She says and I sigh, and sit down.

I see Rebekah gasp and fall on the floor, dead as if she's been daggered, and run past her. "Thank you, whatever supernatural force." I say.

I'm running and hear Rebekah's voice. "You can't hide, Adam!" She exclaims and I trip and fall. "Not sure why I'm feeling under the weather. Must be your boys trying to find a loophole. Won't matter, I could chase you down on my worst day." She says and I get up, and arrive at the drawings of the Original Story, and Rebekah grabs from behind. "Boo!" She exclaims and I knock my head back, headbutting her and jump into the cave. "You little bastard!" She exclaims as I look at her and she tries to get in the cave, but can't. "What is this?" She asks. "Sorry. No vampires allowed." I say and smile at her.

I shine my flashlight around that's in my right hand, looking for an exist and Rebekah appears in front of me with a gasoline canister in her right hand. "Adam! Let's pick it up where we left off." She says and throws gasoline on me. "What the hell are you doing?" I ask. "Thought I'd shake things up a bit." She says, splashing more gasoline around the cave as I gasp. "Are you insane?" I ask. "I prefer spontaneous. It's probably why Damon likes me so much." She says and throws the canister at me, and I duck quickly, and she pulls out a match from her right pocket. "Here's what's gonna happen." She says, lighting the match and throws it in the cave, starting a fire as I step back, gasping. "You're gonna come outside." She says and lights another match, and throws it, starting another fire. "Or you're going to stay in there and burn." She says.

The fire burns itself out. "The next match is landing on you. So, Adam, how does it feel to know that these may be your last moments?" She asks, recording me with a phone in her right hand. "I don't know, you tell me. You're the one whose mother's trying to kill you." I say. "You should be very careful what you say to me." She says and I see her wearing her mother's necklace. "You're still wearing her necklace. She's not doing this because she hates you, Rebekah." I say. "Spare me your pity, Adam. We're not besties. Want me to prove it? Just say the word." She says and lights another match. "You're not gonna do it." I say. "And why is that?" She asks. "Because there's still a chance that you might be alive tomorrow. And if that's the case and you kill me now, you'll have used up all of your revenge unless you kill Elena as well. Wasted it and isn't that what you want? Revenge? Because she pretended to like you and then stuck a dagger in your back. I mean, that's why you slept with Damon, isn't it? That's why you're tormenting me, because she hurt your feelings." I say and the match burns out. "You never were planning on hurting me, were you? This is all staged?" I ask, crossing my arms. "We needed your fear to be real for encouragement. Kidnapping Elena would be way too easy and it could of gone wrong. All us Mikaelson siblings, besides Finn, are in on this." She says.

"You can come out now. Seems your boys took care of the problem." She says and I walk over to her. "How did they do that?" I ask. "Damon turned your sister's witch friend's mother into a vampire." She says. "What?" I ask. "Quite clever, actually. They needed to sever the witch line and, well, you can't be a witch and a vampire. In any case, you're free to go. Oh and, uh, by the way, you were right. I do prefer taking my time watching Elena suffer. Much more satisfying." She says.
