I'm in the living room with Elena and Stefan; Stefan on my right. "Stefan, who was that man in the road?" I ask. "I don't know. Do you remember anything else about him?" He asks. "I wish. I never really saw his face." I say, shaking my head. "He was wearing a hoodie. All I can remember is that there was these black boots coming towards me." I say. "I brought some vervain, for you and Jenna, Elena." Stefan says, opening a wooden box with both hands. "And, um, I made this bracelet for Jeremy, few extra ones for friends. You can put it in jewelry, or you can even put it in food or drink, but as long as it's in you or on you, a vampire cannot control you." Stefan says and hands me a vial of liquid vervain with his right hand, and Elena picks up a branch of version with hers. "Wow. So much to remember." She says. "Not really. Vervain is your friend against vampires. Simple." I say. "And since there's another vampire in town, we have to be careful until we find out who is he and what he wants." Stefan says and we all nod. "Elena, Adam! I need the money!" Jeremy exclaims; because we ordered pizza earlier. "I got it." I say and walk downstairs to see the pizza guy and hand him thirty dollars with my left hand. "Um, keep the change." I say and smile at him, and he smiles back. "Thanks. Thanks. And you have yourself a good night." He says and walks out the door, and I shut it with my right hand.

I'm at school and walk into Mr. Saltzman's class since he wanted to see me before class. "Hi, Mr. Saltzman. I'm Adam Gilbert, you wanted to see me?" I ask and he smiles at me. "Right. Elena's and Jeremy's younger brother, who's a freshman might I add." He says. "Yes, Rick. I mean, Mr. Saltzman." I say and he laughs. "Don't worry about it. I actually prefer to be called Rick. I heard about you winning that whole national psychology thing. Congrats." He says. "Thank you." I say. "You're probably wondering why I called you in here. I just found some essay contests on history that you may want to take a look at if interested." He says and hands me a list of contests with his right hand. "Thank you. And I'll tell my Aunt Jenna you said hi. I apologize for missing class the other day." I say. "That's all right. We just watched a movie, anyway. And thanks, I appreciate you telling Jenna I said hi." He says. "Between you and me, she loves warm Italian food better than leftovers. But you didn't hear it from me. Especially garlic bread." I say and he chuckles.

I'm at the Grill with Bonnie and Elena; Elena on my left side. "I can't believe you two are adopted. I never saw that coming." Bonnie says. "And you're the psychic one." I say and smile at her. "Sorry, lame joke." I say. "And it gets weirder. I looked at my birth certificate. It lists Miranda and Grayson Gilbert as my birthparents. None of it makes any sense." Elena says. "That's because Grayson was a Doctor. Which means he could of, and probably did, alter our records." I say. "Which is why you should ask Jenna." Bonnie says and Elena groans. "First of all, the Elena I know would always want the real truth, good or bad." Bonnie says. "And second of all?" I ask. "You just found out your boyfriend is a." Bonnie says and whispers, 'vampire'. "So unless your guy's birth parents are aliens.. how bad could they be?" Bonnie asks and they both look at me. "Yours could be. Maybe you two aren't even siblings." She says and we all laugh. "Ah, ok, look, I have to go to the store. My outfit for the dance is severely lacking accessories." Elena says and stands up. "I'll go with you. I still have to figure out what I'm going to wear for the Decade Dance." I say. "Ok, I'll pay the bill." Bonnie says. "Ok, bye." Elena says. "Bye, Bonnie." I say. "Bye." Bonnie says as Elena and I walk off.

I'm walking to Elena's car with her and my phone rings, and I answer it with my right hand. "Hello." I say, answering it. "Hello, Adam." The male voice says and I put my phone on speaker. "Hi, who's this?" I ask as Elena starts to unlock her car. "You hit me with your car." He says and Elena and I both freeze. "Is that a new one?" He asks and we see the pizza guy from last night in a hoodie walking towards us. "Elena!" I exclaim and she gets the door open, and I run to the passenger side, and quickly get in, locking the doors. "You got away from me. You won't next time. Either of you." He says and I hang up, and Elena goes in reverse, and drives right past him.
