2:20: Our Final Day

I'm in the Salvatore Boarding House Library with Elijah, Stefan, and Elena as Elijah is standing, I'm on the couch and Stefan is in the chair next to me with Elena. "Tonight is the Full Moon. We should assume that Klaus is prepared to break the curse." Elijah says. "Adam said that the Sun and the Moon curse is fake? That it's actually just a curse placed on Klaus." Stefan says and I look at him, and back to Elijah. "Klaus is a vampire born of a werewolf bloodline. The curse has kept his werewolf aspect from manifesting. But if he breaks it.. he'll be a true Hybrid." He says and I nod. "Then why are we letting him break the curse? We can kill him today. With Mark." Damon says, walking in and over to Elijah. "Damon.." Stefan says. "No. Bonnie can't use that much power without dying." Elena says. "I'll write him a great Eulogy." He says. "It's not an option, Damon." I say. "All right, how do we break this curse?" Stefan asks. "Well, the ritual itself is relatively straightforward." Elijah says, walking past Damon. "The ingredients, so to speak, you already know." He says. "The Moonstone." Stefan says. "A witch or warlock will channel the power of the Full Moon to release the spell that's bound within the stone. After that, Klaus, being both werewolf and vampire, will sacrifice one of each." Elijah says. "And where do we fit into it?" I ask. "The final part of the ritual." He says and walks over to the bookshelf behind him, and walks back over to us, holding a box. "Klaus must drink the blood of both Doppelgangers.. to the point of your deaths. One male and one female, for balance. Witches and their crafty spells." He says and I see Stefan take Elena's left hand as I look at him and he's looking down, and back up to me. "And that's where you come in." Elena says and Elijah opens the box with his left hand, and pulls out a clear bottle, and puts it in his right hand. "This is an elixir that I acquired some five hundred years ago for Dimitur and Katerina. It possesses mystical properties of resuscitation." He says looking at the bottle and then to Elena and I. "So we'll be dead?" I ask. "And then you won't." He says. "That's your plan?" Damon asks as we all look at him. "A magical witch potion with no expiration date?" He asks and looks at me, extending his hands out. "You want to come back to life, what about John's ring?" He asks, and puts his hands down. "Those rings only work on humans. The Doppelgangers are a supernatural occurrence. Odds are, the ring won't work." Elijah says. "I'll take those odds over your elixir." Damon says looking at him, and then to Elena and I. "What if it doesn't work, Elena?" He asks. "Then I guess we'll just be dead." She says and he looks at Stefan, and turns around, and walks off, and I sigh. "Do we know if Klaus has everything he needs to do this? Does he have a Werewolf?" I ask. "Klaus has been waiting to break this curse for over a thousand years. If he doesn't already have a Werewolf, my guess is by tonight, he will." Elijah says.

I join Elijah in the Library and walk over to the elixir. "You'd think he'd understand why I'm willing to do this." I say and pick it up with my right hand. "Why are you?" He asks. "Elena and I are the key to breaking the Curse. Klaus is here because of us. If she and I don't stop him, then he's going to hurt people." I say, shaking my head. "It's that simple." I say and he looks down at the elixir. "You know, there's a possibility this elixir won't work." He says and looks up at me. "I don't want to mislead you." He says. "I know the chance I'm taking." I say and we hear a door slam, and look towards the front. "Get out!" Jenna exclaims. "Jenna, Jenna!" Dad exclaims as Elijah and I look at each other. "Get out!" Jenna yells and we walk in her direction. I meet up with Stefan, and see Jenna holding a cross bow up to Dad. "Jenna, put the crossbow down, ok? It's me." Dad says. "Stay away from me." She says. "What's going on?" I ask. "It's me, Adam, I swear, ok? He let me go. Klaus let me go." He says. "Prove it." Damon says as we look at him, noticing him, and Dad turns to Jenna. "Ok, uh, first night you and I spent together, Jeremy walked in right when I was about to--" He says and Jenna interrupts him. "Ok, it's him." She says and puts the cross bow down as I look at her, and back to Dad. "Why did he let you go?" Stefan asks. "He wanted me to deliver a message. The sacrifice happens tonight." Dad says and they all look at Elena and I, and I look at Elijah, and then Elena and I look at each other.
