It's morning as I'm in my training clothes and walk in the kitchen, seeing Dad looking through the cabinets. "Morning." I say, walking to the fridge. "I thought we had Aspirin." He says. "They're in the vitamins." I say, pointing behind me with my right thumb and put my hand down, and open the fridge with my right hand, and take out the water pitcher, and turn around, seeing a nearly half empty bottle of whisky and empty glass as I'm walking to the sink. "You're hungover." I say, smiling and pour a glass of water. "Yeah, sorry about that. It was a bit of a weird night." He says and I turn around, holding the water in my right hand, seeing him take Aspirin. "I told you you don't have to feel guilty about inviting Meredith over here." I say. "I know. And I thank you for that. But I do feel guilty for whiskey dialing her at two in the am." He says and I sigh. "Ohh. No you didn't." I say, shaking my head. "Oh, yes, I did." He says, smiling. "Ohh. Was she cool about it?" I ask. "Well, as soon as these Aspirin kick in and I remember the conversation, I'll let you know." He says and I chuckle, shaking my head and hear my doorbell ring, and set the glass down, and we walk to the door, and I open it with my right hand, and we walk outside, and I see the Sheriff. "Sheriff Forbes, hi. Is everything okay?" I ask. "This is an unconventional conversation we're about to have, so I hope you'll protect me on it." She says. "Of course." Dad says. "I assume you both heard our Medical Examiner was murdered the night of the Wickery Bridge Fundraiser." She says. "Yeah. Brian Walters. Why?" He asks. "We've been investigating. Someone drove this stake through his heart." She says and holds up an evidence bag with a bloody stake in it with her right hand, and Dad takes it with his left as I have my arms crossed, and we look at it. "It's one of ours." He says and looks at me. "I mean, this is one of a set from your parents' Lake House." He says. "That's why I'm here. I haven't told anyone but Forensics ran it for prints and found only one clean set." She says and I look up at her. "Yours." She says to me. "What?" I ask and she nods.

I'm in the kitchen with Dad as he's going through his bag, on speaker phone with Damon. "So you're the prime suspect, huh? I mean, if anyone could get away with murder, it'd be you." He says. "We are not letting you testify if need be. She doesn't think that I did it. She's just trying to find out why somebody used one of my family's weapons to kill a Council Member." I say. "Well, why don't you just ask Ric if his dirty little doctor had access to the weapons." He says. "You're on speaker phone, dick." Dad says. "I'm just saying, first suspect is usually the right one. Don't get so defensive." Damon says. "Brian Walters was killed days ago, all right? I didn't show Meredith this stuff until last night." Alaric Dad. "It wasn't Meredith." I say. "But Brian Walters was her ex-boyfriend and Ric saw and you them fighting that night." Damon says. "It's not Meredith. Ok?" I ask and look at Dad. "I refuse to believe that your luck with women is that tragic." I say. "Who else knows about your secret little slayer stash?" Damon asks. "Who doesn't? Got weapons everywhere, here, the school, my loft, your car." Dad says, sitting down. "It's Klaus. Has to be. He's just screwing with us." Damon says. "I wonder if it was Stefan." I say and Dad looks at me. "He was crazy that night. You know, he was trying to get underneath Klaus' skin, he was capable of pretty much anything." I say. "Ah, makes me nostalgic for the time when Stefan was a bunny snacking pacifist. Anyway got to go. More later." Damon says. "Hey, where are you?" Dad asks. "Tea with an old friend." Damon says. "Elijah?" I ask and he hangs up.

I'm in Damon's room as he has a shirt in each hand, deciding on what to wear for the dinner party that Elijah is hosting and he's dragging me along a shirtless Stefan walks in with a shirt over his right shoulder. "Get dressed. We're going out." Damon says to him. "Yeah, sorry, not interested." Stefan says and walks past us. "I didn't ask. Elijah and I have scheduled a very old-fashioned sit-down with you and Klaus. I say go with the black. Makes you look all villainy." Damon says as Stefan puts his shirt on and looks at us. "Klaus won't make a deal, Damon, Adam." He says. "He didn't have to. All we're doing is buying a little time to give our wicked witches a chance to pop the top off the coffin." Damon says and Stefan walks to the mirror. "So, that's your, uh, plan? Stall Klaus?" He asks. "If you didn't go postal on his hybrids, then maybe we'd have some options." I say. "So you unleashed an Original to help him out?" Stefan asks. "Undaggering Elijah was smart, Stefan. Are you kidding me? After what Klaus did to him? He's in vengeance mode. It's perfect." Damon says. "There's nothing smart about trusting Elijah, Damon. He screwed us over the last time he promised to help us kill Klaus." Stefan says, walking past us. "Yeah, the way you've been acting, I trust him about as much as I trust you." Damon says. "Hm. Well I guess that goes both ways, doesn't it?" Stefan asks. "Oh, yes.. this is about me kissing Elena. Just remember, if it wasn't for Klaus, you would have never become such a dick and that kiss would never have happened. So get ready and get happy. We're going to negotiate a fake truce and I don't want your attitude screwing it up." Damon says.
