2:13: Saving Caroline

I walk into the kitchen with Elena and see John holding a coffee cup in his right hand, as Elena's frowning and he picks up the remote in his left, and turns the TV off. "Morning." He says, smiling as wr approach him. "What are you doing here?" Elena asks. "Coffee?" He asks. "We're not doing that. We did that last night. No more avoiding. Why are you here?" She asks. "But I would love some." I say and I take the coffee mug with my right hand, and sip it. "I'm here to protect you both." He says, nodding. "Great, another one." I say, sarcastically. "That's all I can say for the moment." He says. "What do you mean, that's all you can say?" Elena asks. "I'll tell you more when I'm convinced I can trust you both." He says as she has her arms crossed and we hear footsteps, and turn around, seeing Jenna put her purse down. "Oh, God, I'm late." She says and looks up. "That's what you get for hitting the snooze three times." Alaric says, smiling and looks up at John. "What the fuck?" She asks and Elena and I look at John. "Well, good morning to you, Jenna. Alaric." He says. "It's okay I'm confused, right?" Jenna asks, as I look at her and nod. "Because we were not expecting you, like, ever." She says and John walks over to her. "Well, I got in late last night. Elena let me in." He says as I look at him and then to Jenna. "You know, I'm probably just gonna take off." Alaric says and we look at him, and he looks at Elena and I, and turns around, and walks off, and I look at Jenna. "I'm still confused here." She says, shaking her head. "I decided to come back and stay for a while." John says as he and Elena look at each other. "Not here, you're not." Jenna says as I look at her. "Actually, you can't stop me from living here." He says. "Actually, I can as Legal Guardian." She says, and Elena looks down. "Yeah. About that." John says and she looks up, sighing. "Elena, you want me to explain the situation or would you like to do the honors?" He aska as we look at her. "Ok. What's going on?" She asks, fake smiling and Elena and I both sigh. "I'm sorry, Jenna. I should've told you earlier, but." Elena says and she looks at John. "I'm Elena's Biological Father." He says as we look at him and back to her. "There. Now you know." He says and "What?" She asks, giving a light chuckle and a fake smile. "Mhm." I say.

I'm with Elena and hear my doorbell ring and walk over to it, and open the door, and Damon walks in. "Where's John?" He asks and I turn around, and we follow him. "He's not here. He left. I don't know where he went." I say and stop walking. "He just blew in, announced to Jenna that he's my Dad, and took off." Elena says as he's looking around and looks at us. "It's Public Knowledge now?" He asks. "Apparently." I say nd he walks towards us. "You okay?" He asks. "Yeah." Elena says, looking to the left. "Jenna's head is spinning, but we're okay." I say picking up the Coffee mug with my right hand. "He said what he was doing here?" He asks and I look up at him. "No. You know, Stefan thinks he's telling the truth about wanting to help me." Elena says and sip my coffee. "You believe him?" He asks, as I set the cup down. "No. I don't want to believe him for a second. But, considering the new trend around here." I say. "I don't, either." He says and I step in front of him, and sigh. "What are we gonna do?" I ask. "Kill him." He says, and walks past me. "Damon--" Elena says and we look at him as he's about to walk out the door, and stops. "I'm joking. Ok. I'm a little serious." He says, smiling. "Damon!" I exclaim and he extends his hands out, as Elena has her arms crossed. "I'm not gonna hurt him, Elena, Adam." He says walking over to us as he puts his hands down. "I'm the good guy now, remember?" He asks, smiling. "What does that mean?" Elena asks. "I'm gonna have a Civil Conversation with your Father." He says, smiling and turns around, and walks off, as I sigh and she uncrosses her arms. "Wait. I'm coming with you." I say, running towards the door, grab my gray jacket with my right hand, and run out, closing the door behind me, along with Elena.

We arrive to the Grill and see Alaric and Jenna sitting down, and John standing up, and he looks up at us, and I look at Damon. "We just need answers. Please don't do anything stupid." I say, looking at John. "Yeah, but stupid is so much more fun." He says and we look at each other, and he faces forward, about to walk off, as I look at John, and Elena grabs his left arm with her right hand. "Damon, I mean it. All I'm asking is you try to keep it together." Elena says, looking at Damon. "Be the better man." She says, smiling, and Damon looks at me, and looks back at John. "Ok, then." He says as she lets his arm go and we walk over to John. "John, buddy.. how you been?" Damon asks. "I've been all right, Damon. It's good to see you." John says, smiling.

I'm with Elena and one of her classmates from school at the Grill, holding a glass of Lemon Water in my right hand and over hear the News Lady, Andie Star, talking. "Can I buy you a drink, Damon?" She asks as we look at him. "My glass is all full, Andie. Thank you." He says, smiling and stands up, and walks towards us, and I look down, and back up to him, and look at Andie. "You totally blew her off." I say and look at him. "I'm steering clear of all men and women at the moment." He says walking behind us and we turn around, looking at him. "You didn't have to be rude." Elena says. "Trust me, it's in the best interest of men and women everywhere." He says and looks down at me, and I look forward, and back up to him, as he's smiling and lifts up his drink with his right hand, and turns, drinking it, and Elena's phone rings, and she grabs it out of her right pocket, and look up at him, as he's downing it, and she answers it, after seeing it's  "Stefan? What is it?" She asks, and Damon and I look at her.

Damon, Elena and I are in the bathroom after Stefan told her that Jules has Caroline. "Why am I just finding out about this now?" Damon asks. "Stefan was worried that you--" Elena says and he interrupts her. "That I would what, what I would kill him?" He asks and I nod. "Of course. That's what needs to happen." He says. "No, Damon, not Tyler. Do whatever you need to do to get Caroline back, but just leave Tyler out of it, ok?" I ask. "Why? He's a werewolf. He needs to die. I'm willing to kill. It's a win win." He says. "It's Caroline. She's one of my best friends. Damon, please, ok? Too many people are dead." Elena says, touching his shoulders.. "You need to stop doing that." He says. "Doing what?" She asks and puts her hands down. "You both assuming that I'll play the Good Guy because it's you who's asking." He says, and I sigh. "Be the better man, Damon." I say, and John storms in, and I sigh, looking down. "Do you mind?" Damon asks. "What's going on?" John asks. "Nothing." I say, looking at him. "Doesn't look like nothing." John says. "Well, guess what, John." Damon says as we look at him and he turns around, looking at John. "Trust works both ways. Get out." Damon says and looks back to us. "Look. We don't have time for this. We need to get Caroline back." Elena says. "We don't need to work anything. I'll take care of it." He says and turns around to John, and puts his right index finger on his chest. "First Dad Duty. Ground your daughter. Keep her here." He says and puts his hand down, and walks off. "I'm coming with you." Elena says, stepping forward and John steps in front of me. "No, no, no, no. I'm with Damon on this one." He says, and I shake my head. "Nope." I say, stepping forward, and so does he. "Stop, stop. You're not going anywhere. Just tell me what's going on." He says. "Damon!" I exclaim and manage to get past John, and run over to Damon. "What is it?" He asks and I hand him a homemade wolfsbane grenade with my right hand. "Wolfsbane." I say and he looks at it, and then to me. "Fine. But if you die, I'm gonna be super pissed if you haunt me." He says and I laugh.

Damon and I arrive in the woods to see Jules, Stefan and Tyler. "My brother the peacemaker. Since Stefan got here before me I'm gonna let him try it his way before I resort to my way, which is a little bloodier. So give us Caroline." Damon says. "When he says a little, he means a lot." I say. "Let go of Tyler." Jules says. "Give us Caroline. Without a full moon it's not an even fight and you know it. We will take you." Damon says. " I'm not so sure about that, tough guy." She says and whistles with her right hand, and we look around to see her fellow werewolves with a flame thrower, stakes and a crossbow. "Let's try this again. Give us Tyler." Jules says and we look at Tyler. "You heard her. Go. Get over there." Damon says and Tyler walks over to Jules. "Which one of you killed Mason?" A man asks as we look at him. "That'd be me." Damon says. "Boys, make sure that one suffers." The man says, pointing his knife in his right hand at Damon and we look at Stefan. "We can take them." Damon says. "I don't know about that." Stefan says. "Well, then.." Damon says and dashes to Jules and she climbs on top the RV, and does a backflip behind Damon, and the man with the flamethrower is about to torch me, but Stefan dashes over to him, as many werewolves come our way and he tries stopping them with the fire. "You doggies wanna play?" I ask and pull out a wolfsbane grenade. "Here's a nice little toy for you." I say and take off the safety pin and throw it, as it explodes in their faces and they howl in pain, falling.

We're still fighting the wolves and I see Stefan get stabbed in the back with a wooden stake. "Stefan!" I exclaim and run over to him as I hear a gunshot, and see Damon on the floor a few feet away from us. I see the man about to drive a stake through Damon's heart and throw another grenade towards him, and he falls on the ground, screaming in pain. "Asshole!" I shout and hear him and Jules screaming louder as they hold their heads and I run over to Caroline. "What's happening?" She asks. "What the hell is going on?" Tyler asks and we see Jonas Martin, Elijah's warlock walking out of the shadows. "Elijah made a promise to Adam. I'm here to see it's upheld. You need to go. Get out of here. Now." He says and I walk off with Stefan, Damon and Caroline.
