2:2: School Carnival

I'm at the school, helping Bonnie and Elena get ready for the school carnival. "Dimitri looked just like you, it was freakish." Bonnie says. "He is my ancestor." I say. "Hey, I moved the student booth into the cafeteria." Elena says. "Your vampire ancestor and he didn't just resemble you like a family member would. He was you." Bonnie says as we help Elena with the bags of stuffed animals. "I don't know, I can't explain it. It's creepy, that's all I got." I say. "How do you know she's not still out there pretending to be you?" Bonnie asks. "I don't but I could sit here and be tortured by the not knowing or I could get these prizes to the ring toss." I say and open the prizes. "Have you two talked to Damon since he killed Jeremy or tried to kill Jeremy?" She asks. "I heard about that. Elena told me this morning." I say. "No Bonnie, I haven't and I won't and I don't want to talk about Damon or anything else that's vampire related ok? I'm human. And I have to do human stuff. Otherwise, I'm going to go crazy." Elena says. "Ok, I'm sorry, I'll focus. We have to make Caroline proud or she will kill us. I don't know how she does all of this." Bonnie says. "Well, because she's not human, obviously." I say and we all laugh. "Obviously." Elena and Bonnie say at the same time, and we all walk off.

I arrive to the Lockwood mansion with a shirtless Tyler Lockwood and Mason Lockwood, his uncle, in a tank top. "I can't believe I let you two convince me to go running with you." I say and cross my arms at them. "Dude, you're not even sweating. It's like you never even ran. Hey, shoes off. My Mother and mud, she'll kill all three of us." Tyler says and I sit on the table as Mason sits in the chair, and we take our shoes off. "How is that even possible? For me not to be sweating at all? Everyone sweats." I say. "Not you." Mason says and I roll my eyes, and he looks at Tyler. "So all this anger and aggression you're talking about, you notice a difference when you exercise?" He asks. "Dude, I play three varsity sports. I work out four times a week and run three. I'm gonna say no." Tyler says. "And I am so trying out for track next year." I say and we all laugh. "Do you have episodes? What happens exactly?" Mason asks. "Starts out normal, I get angry typically over nothing. I'm an angry guy. I know it just amplifies and I just go off." Tyler says. "That explains so much." I say. "What do you mean?" Mason asks and they both look at me. "Just that Tyler is a dick in general. Just like Damon Salvatore at times." I say. "Isn't that Stefan's older brother?" Tyler asks. "Yep." I say. "You black out? From the anger?" Mason asks Tyler. "Yeah, it's like I go blind with rage." Tyler says and start walking to the stairs. "Is there a pattern?" Mason asks and I look up at him. "Like once a month, only at night?" Mason asks. "What are you? A werewolf?" I ask, giving a small laugh. "All I know is I lose myself, you know? For that time I become something else and I hate it." Tyler says.

It's nighttime as I'm at the school carnival that's packed with Bonnie and Elena. "The ring toss is out of Bart and Homer dolls and Team Jacob T's." Bonnie says. "Okay, I can grab some from the science club. Also we lost a speaker in the karaoke room." I say. "All good, Elena, Adam. Take a beat, look around. This is a huge success." Bonnie says. "You mean I can do more than just freak vampire havoc?" Elena asks. "Go figure." I say and we all laugh and see a man fixing the stand for the snack cart. "Hey, Carter, right? You're with the carnival." Elena says and he walks over to us. "That'd be me." He says. "Ok, great." Elena says and he smiles at Bonnie. "What do you need, beautiful?" He asks and she smiles back as we look at her. "What do you know about karaoke speakers?" She asks and he chuckles. "Why don't you show me the problem?" He asks. "Yeah, Bonnie. Show him the problem." I say and Elena and I smile at each other. "Ok, come on." Bonnie says and we see then walk off.

I meet up with Damon and Stefan inside the school. "Observing." Damon says and we see the arm wrestling booth. "More like obsessing." Stefan says. "Observing what?" I ask. "The Lockwoods'. I heard you in there with them about calling me a dick and that you didn't even sweat from the run. And you're little werewolf comment." He says. "And I only said you were a dick sometimes." I say and smile at him, and we see Tyler win the arm match. "He's got strength." Damon says. "He's a triple letter varsity athlete, of course he has strength. You're reaching." Stefan says. "Totally not reaching." I say and we see Mason step forward. "Enter the uncle." Damon says. "This is ridiculous." Stefan says and we see Mason beat Tyler. "Okay, he's the champ, who wants to go next?" Tyler asks. "Stefan wants to go." Damon says and everyone looks at Stefan. "Thanks." Stefan says to Damon and looks at Mason. "Yeah, sure, I'll.. give it a shot." He says and walks over to Mason. "Get him, Stef." Damon says. "You got this, Stefan." I say and they arm wrestle after the bell rings and Stefan loses, and walks over to us. "You didn't put in anyeffort at all." Damon says. "Yeah, actually, I did." He says and Damon looks shocked. "You two. Come with me." He says and we follow him. "Is he?" Damon asks. "No, no, it wasn't that kind of strength but it was more than human, if that makes any sense." Stefan says. "Then how come he was so slow? I mean, I'm not exactly a track star. Last time I checked." I say. "What is up with that family? They're not vampires, what the hell are they?" Damon asks. "Oh, maybe they're ninja turtles." Stefan says, jokingly. "You're not funny." Damon says. "Or no, zombies. Werewolves." Stefan says. "No comedic timing at all." Damon says and Stefan smiles. "Wait. That's it. Werewolves, like I said earlier. They're known for their anger. Especially when Zeus cursed King Lycaon to become the first Lycan aka werewolf after he tried to feed Zeus one of his own children. Lycaon's child, not Zeus'." I say. "Thanks, witchipedia." He says. "Occult with Grams and well. Greek mythology here at the school." I say and Damon looks at Carter. "What? What are you up to?" Stefan asks and Damon walks over to him. "Hey you!" Damon says. "I have a name." Carter says and Damon places his hands on his shoulders. "Yeah, I don't care. I need you to pick a fight with someone, a kid named Tyler Lockwood." Damon says, compelling him. "Damon, don't do this." Stefan says. "It's just an experiment. Get him mad, don't back down no matter what he does, ok?" Damon asks. "I won't back down." Carter says. "I know you won't." Damon says and sends Carter on his way. "Do you realize someone is going to get hurt right?" Stefan asks. "No, someone is going to get mad, as in rage." Damon says. "What's that gonna accomplish?" I ask. "That Tyler kid is incapable of walking away from a fight. Let's see who intervenes. Maybe it's the ambiguous, supernatural mystery uncle." Damon says and walks off, and Stefan and I look at each other.

Stefan and I are following Tyler to the parking lot. "What do you think is gonna happen?" I ask. "Nothing good. Nothing good at all." He says and we arrive to the parking lot, and hide behind a bush, and Carter pushes Tyler. "Better back off." Tyler says and Carter shoves him harder. "You hit me agsin, I swear to God." Tyler says, stepping forward and Carter punches him in the face, and they start fighting. "Hey Tyler! Tyler!" Mason asks, running over to them and separates them. "What the hell, man?" Mason asks, shoving Carter back, and Carter steps forward and Mason grabs his throat, but Carter manages to shove him over the hood of a car, and him and Tyler start fighting again, who he throws on the ground and we see Mason jump over the hood of the car, and over ten feet past Carter, as I'm about to gasp, but Stefan covers my mouth with his right hand. "Your eyes." Tyler says and Mason smacks Carter to the floor. Mason walks over to Tyler and helps him off the ground. "Come on. Let's go." He says and him and Tyler run off, and Stefan puts his hand down, and we run over to Carter. "You all right, man?" Stefan asks, crouching down next to him. "Why did I just do that?" Carter asks. "You were just in the wrong place at the wrong time." I say.

We're in Alaric's classroom, talking with Elena and Damon about Caroline being a vampire. "How did this happen? Hm?" Stefan asks. "Well, I fed her blood and Katherine obviously killed her and A plus B equals.." Damon says. "But why? And so now Katherine and Dimitri are back?" I ask. "Yep. And ecause Katherine is a manipulative, nasty, little slut." Damon says. "And she said 'game on'? I mean, what does that even mean?" Stefan asks. "It means her and Dimitri are playing dirty. They want us to know." Damon says. "But why Caroline?" Elena asks. "I don't know." Damon says. "Caroline must be completely out of her mind.
She doesn't even know what's happening to her." Stefan says. "Oh I think she does. All of my compulsion from the past started wearing off the minute she was in transition." Damon says. "We gave to find her." Stefan says. "Yep. And kill her." Damon says. "You're not gonna kill Caroline." Elena says and walks over to Stefan. "She knows who we are. She's officially a liability, and we've got to get rid of her." Damon says. "Damon, absolutely not." Stefan says. "Need I remind you of a tragic little story of a girl named Vicki Donovan? Caroline, of all people, will not make it as a vampire. Her mother is a vampire hunter. Guys come on, we all know how this story's gonna end, just flip to the last chapter and--" Damon says and Elena interrupts him. "It's not an option, Damon." Elena says. "No? Your silence is deafening, Stefan. Wait, wasn't there a school carnival the night you staked Vicki? I never had a town where history repeats itself. You know I'm right." Damon says and Stefan walks over to him. "We're not gonna kill her." He says and walks off, and so does Elena. "It's the only way." He says to her and he and I look at each other.

I can't find Damon, Elena or Stefan anywhere and I see a fire in the distance by the outside bathrooms, and I run over to see Damon groaning on the floor and the fire starts teaching to him, being controlled by Bonnie. "Bonnie, stop it. Bonnie, Bonnie, stop it!" I shout. "Bonnie, Bonnie, stop it! You're going to kill him!" Elena shouts. "Bonnie!" I shout and see Elena jump over the fire as it leaves Damon and starts making a circle around me, and the fire stops, after turning blue, vanishing. "What the hell was that?" Damon asks as I run over to him and help him up, and hear Elena and Bonnie talking. "Because this isn't us. Bonnie, this can't be us." Elena says, and walks off with a crying Bonnie. "Now how did that fire turn blue and surround you?" He asks. "Your guess is as good as mine." I say.
