It's hours later as I fell asleep in Klaus' mansion after crying for hours and slowly wake up to see I'm in my bedroom at my house and sit up a little before walking downstairs to get some coffee, seeing Elena on the phone and Matt and Jeremy playing a video game. "Who's she talking to?" I ask and they look at me. "Are you okay?" Jeremy asks, pausing the game and walks over to me as Matt gets me some coffee and I shake my head. "No. I don't think I'll ever be okay again." I say and smile softly as Jeremy embraces me into a hug. "She's talking with Bonnie. And I'm so gonna kick Kol's ass for what he did." He says, resting his chin on top of my head and I give a small nod. "Use a baseball bat. That'll be ironic." I say, giggling before crying again as I reach for my coffee and we hear Elena scream, making Matt and I both drop the mug, looking at her with concern as she picks up the phone she dropped. "Sorry." She says, shaking her hands as she has her phone to her ear and shoulder. "I don't know." She says, sighing. "There's something in the water." She says. "Vervain." I say as everyone looks at me. "How did I get here, anyway?" I ask, confused. "Klaus brought you home and told us what happened. Jeremy then put you upstairs." Matt says, cleaning up the mess, being careful not to cut himself on the sharp pieces. "Yeah. It was a rough night." I say, nodding and decide to go back to sleep on the couch.
I wake up again, only to pull the giant blanket over myself more, trying to block out some sunlight before having to use the bathroom and hear Elena on the phone as I sit on the toilet, enjoying the cold atmosphere. "That's not why I called. Kol just tried to kill Bonnie. Yeah, she's just shaken up. She managed to hold him off, but Kol seems pretty intent on murdering everyone who's looking for that Cure. I don't want Jeremy to just dagger Kol. I want Jeremy to kill him." She says and I look up after staring at the floor. "Bonnie has all this crazy new power. She thinks she can hold him long enough for Jeremy to get a clean shot. That's why you need to find the dagger and use it on Rebekah. She can't come looking for revenge if she's laying in a box. I know you can't because vampires can't use the dagger, but Matt can. It's not like she doesn't deserve it. And Bonnie thinks that she can get Klaus out of the picture, too, at least temporarily. Once we get this Cure, none of this will matter because we can use it against them. With Adam's help." She says and I flush the toliet before walking out to see her hang up and cross my arms at her. "I'm not helping you kill Kol." I say. "It's the only way, Adam. I'm sorry but we need to get this Cure." She says. "No, you don't. You want it. There's a big difference." I say, before walking off to call Kol. "Darling, I've been trying to reach you all day. I miss you and I'm really sorry about hurting your feelings. I was just.. so, so angry and you didn't deserve any of it." He says and I let a few tears flow before wiping them away. "Listen, they're planning on killing you. Tonight. They want to go after Silas but maybe we could just all have a discussion and find a way to kill Silas." I say. "Now that's something we can agree on." Kol says and I can feel him smile on the other end. "Am I forgiven, darling?" He asks, in a serious tone. "Yes, you're forgiven." I say.
It's nighttime as I'm walking down the street, intertwining my fingers with Kol's and we hear his phone rings and he answers it with his free hand. "Jeremy Gilbert. Nice to see I'm still on your speed dial, mate. Hey, you want to meet up at the batting cages in Denver? What a treat. Yeah, I was just thinking of all the clever ways I could have your brother killed, but I'd settle for ripping off his illustrated arm instead." He says and I playfully roll my eyes at him as he grins and stops walking. "You want to talk about Silas? I'll tell you what. How about I come to you?" Kol says and grabs my waist gently and we appear at my house, Kol ringing the doorbell. "You want a truce. Let's talk." Kol says as we walk inside to see Matt and Jeremy are gone. "So.. this is the part where you offer me a drink so we can have a proper chat." Kol says, smiling and we walk over to go and sit on the couch and set up the videogame.
We hear Elena from behind us shaking two bottles. "Sorry, I had to dig up the old people alcohol." She says as Kol pauses the game and she walks back to the kitchen as Kol sighs. "Yeah, that's the problem with people today. They have no drinking imagination. Turn-of-the-century New Orleans.. now, they knew how to make a drink." Kol says as we walk into the kitchen where Elena took the bottles with her. "You lived in New Orleans?" She asks, starting on a shaker. "We all did, till Niklaus shoved a dagger in my heart." Kol says and kisses my cheek softly. "Why? What did you do?" Elena asks as she smiles and turns around to get cups. "What makes you think I did anything? Has your alliance with my brother softened you to his horrors?" He asks. "I don't have an alliance with Klaus. We had a mutual interest in finding the cure.. that's all." She says. "Had?" I ask. "Yes. And I'm willing to give up looking for it if you promise to leave my brother alone." She says. "Maybe one of them, but not this one." Kol says and I laugh and she smiles at us. "Now, can you teach me how to make this?" She asks, holding up the mixer and Kol steps forward to show her how it's done; her smiling slightly. "I'll get some ice." She says and walks over to the fridge and I see Kol spraying as Elena is taking a long time. "She's clearly up to something." I mouth to him and he dashes in front of the fridge, smiling at Elena as she closes it and she looks startled. "Here you go." She says, offering the bowl of ice and I take it. "Would you like one?" He asks her. "Sure. Why not?" She asks and I nod in agreement. "Me, too. With extra lime." I say and he grins at me, adding ice to the mixer. "You're really good at that game. Definitely considering you've been locked up in a coffin for a hundred years." Elena says and Kol smiles. "I'm a quick learner. Speedy reflexes. Especially when you have a great teacher." He says, grinning at me and looks back to Elena after looking at the TV. "It's not much like the real thing, though, is it?" He asks and Elena looks up at him. "You've killed, haven't you? Or are you one of those Mary Sue vampires?" He asks her before sipping on his drink after we cheers and I sip on mine. "Mm. It's nice." I say. "I've killed. Once. I'm guessing your number's a lot higher than mine." She says after sipping on her drink. "You lose track over the years. So, are we going to talk about Silas, or just jibber-jabber?" He asks and I lead him to the living room.
