Elena, Kol, Damon arrive to my family's cabin as it's nearly Christmas and we see Jeremy in a white tank top, glaring at the vampires as Bonnie walks over to him as he has an axe in his hand and logs in front of him from chopping wood and see him continue to stare at us as Bonnie is talking with him and takes the axe gently as he glances at her and lets go of the axe, and she turns around to toss it on the ground with the other tools before walking back over to him and they turn around with Bonnie holding his hand, with her looking back at us and we see Shane walk out, holding a mug. "What the hell is Professor Shadypants doing here?" Damon asks. "I invited him." Elena says and we all look at her.

We soon arrive to the door entrance with our bags and I walk in without the others since I don't need to be invited in and look at Elena along with the others. "We need her. In here." Shane says and Elena smiles. "This is your house now, Jer." She says as Jeremy walks over to us. "You have to invite me in." She says and he just stares at her. "Go ahead, Jeremy. Invite her in." Shane says as I glance at him and back to Jeremy, who hesitates again. "You can come in." He says and Elena walks in, stopping in front of Jeremy, smiling softly and touches his arm before walking to the table to set her bag down and Jeremy pulls a wooden stake from his back pocket. "Jeremy!" Bonnie and I both exclaim at the same time before Elena snatched the stake and puts Jeremy in a chokehold. "Well, shit." I say.

I'm outside with Damon as he's on speaker phone with Stefan, talking about the Hunter's Sword that is the key to revealing the location of the Cure. "Well, he's not walking around with it. Check the rest of the house." Damon says. "I am. I haven't found anything." Stefan says. "Try the sock drawer. People leave the sketchiest stuff in sock drawers." Damon says. "Like your bourbon?" I ask, looking up at Damon. "How do you know about that?" He asks. "Elena told me." I say, giving a small laugh as I zip up my jacket more. "I'm gonna need real ideas, Damon." Stefan says and we hear him opening up a chest. "Here's two: Kill Tyler before he goes to Klaus or, since Klaus has suddenly become MVP in our relay race for the Cure, tell him about the hybrids and he'll kill Tyler." Damon says. "Nobody's killing Tyler." Stefan says and stops talking. "Hello? Stefan." I say. "Look, I know it's a touchy subject, but do you know where Elena is today, Damon?" Stefan asks and Damon hesitates for a second. "I think she's running around.. trying to figure out how to deprogram Jeremy." Damon says, looking at me and I nod. "How'd she take it last night? You telling her to stay away from you?" Stefan asks and Damon looks guilty. "Not well." He says. "You okay?" Stefan asks. "Peachy. Gotta go. Bonnie has enlisted Dr. Evil in her plan and I have to thwart him." Damon says before quickly hanging up. "Kol's grilling burgers since there's also a storm on it's way here. It's supposed to drop below 30 tonight so I'm glad I brought extra jackets and blankets. Two bags worth." I say, smiling up at him. "And that is why you're the smart one, Baby Gilbert. I'll get some more firewood for the fireplace tonight and we can all stay until the storm passes." He says and I nod. "Do you think Shane's hypnosis will work on Jer?" I ask, concerned. "I hope so. I don't think either of us wants your sister as a kabob." He says and I give a small laugh.

I walk in with Kol after we eat lunch to see Damon and Bonnie talking to Jeremy. "Professor Shane has been dipping into the magical herbs a little too much; if he thinks using a vampire to suppress the need to kill another one is gonna work on a Hunter. It's like dangling a cheeseburger in front of someone on a master cleanse. Just find someone else to attach your warm and fuzzy detour feelings to." Damon says, clearly talking about Bonnie. "Hm. I wonder who that could be." I say as we all look at Bonnie who has her arms crossed. "You." Jeremy says, looking at Bonnie who looks slightly shocked. "Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner." Damon says. "I feel that way about you." Jeremy says. "Don't you just love love?" Kol says, dramatically before pressing his soft lips against mine and I kiss back. "Well, this isn't awkward. Come on, love birds. Let's go somewhere else while Bon Bon and Cray Cray Gilbert over here have some.. alone time." Damon says as Kol and I stop kissing to look at him while Kol has his hands around my waist.

I'm sitting on Kol's lap on the couch as Elena, Shane and I are sitting by the fireplace with Damon standing behind us and Shane uncovers the Silas' rock. "It's a rock." Shane says, smiling and Damon walks around. "Hm, so is this that silly little wives tale that you told at the occult exhibit?" Damon asks. "Right, long story short: Once upon a time, there was a witch named Silas who loved a guy, who wanted to be with him forever, so he and his best friend, another witch, made an immortality spell and then Silas' best friend witch got jealous and killed Silas' guy before he had a chance to make her immortal. Well, cursed to an eternity without his one true love, Silas finds a way to reverse the immortality spell and then before he has the chance to take it, his former friend buries him underground, leaving him and the cure to rot. Some say there was another girl involved or something, but I don't know much more than that." Shane says. "So, it's a cure for immortality?" I ask, confused. "Human blood is the life force of an immortal. No more immortality, no more need to feed on blood. You dig up Silas and you've got your cure." Shane says. "There's only one problem. Silas is a psychotic maniac who will bring hell on Earth if raised." Kol says. "Then we won't raise him. We'll keep him in a locked box." Damon says.

Shane is showing us Jeremy's sketch of the Hunter's Mark and circling the design on top of the hand with his finger. "This is the mark of the Brotherhood of the Five." He says and goes up the arm. "And up the arm, you have the murder of a guy by a witch. The symbols in the vines are your map, which obviously, you no longer need. When this mark is complete, it will contain the spell that we need to dig up Silas." Shane says. "And where'd you say he was buried? Oh, I forgot, you didn't." Damon says. "You've threatened to kill me, what, like three times already this week." Shane says and Damon nods. "Yeah." He says. "The location is how I'm gonna survive your bad moods." Shane says. "And what's in it for you? If not the cure, then what?" Elena asks and Shane hovers his hand over the rock. "I'm in this for Silas, all right? Up until this point he's only been myth." He says, putting his hand down. "So write a thesis." Kol says as Shane folds up the sketch. "Would you rather be the guy who writes about Noah's Ark or the one who sails it down the Hudson River?" Shane asks, walking over to Damon who has his hand out and gives it to him. "I'm not buying it." Damon says as Shane walks past him. "You don't have to buy anything." He says and walks over to Elena and I. "You just have to believe that I can fix your brother. And when his Hunter's mark is complete, I'm gonna take you to the Cure." Shane says and walks off. "I think we should just kill him and figure out the sword for ourselves." Kol says and I nod in agreement. "After he fixes Jeremy. Shane is a total psychopath." I say.

Kol and I walk into the room where everyone else is as we look at each other, concerned. "I think we've got this." Jeremy says to Damon. "Elena, don't move, ok? No matter what." Bonnie says, slowly walking towards Elena, then stops while Jeremy grips a wooden stake. "Jeremy, remember the detour. Choose the right path." Shane says as we all look at Jeremy and he starts walking, Damon stepping in front of him as they look at each other and Jeremy looks over at Bonnie, who smiles at him and he hands Damon the wooden stake; hilt first and Bonnie moves to the side, away from Elena after she moved closer to her and Jeremy starts walking over to Elena, resting his head on her shoulder, hugging her waist and she hugs his back, resting her chin on his shoulder. "It worked." I say, smiling softly.

We're sorting through Christmas ornaments and I pick up some mistletoe and laugh. "What the hell is this for?" I ask as we all laugh. "Jenna used that to makeout with Logan Fell." Elena says, taking it and walks out to go and see Damon. "I think there's some story about Mistletoe and Loki, God of Mischief." I say and feel Kol press his soft lips against mine, making me giggle. "Then we definitely need to get some." He says.
