I'd walk into the Grill with my fingers intertwined with Kol's after reading the morning paper about the Young Farm explosion after we left and see Damon at the bar with Sheriff Forbes standing next to him, and Kol and I walk over to them. Kol is about to sit down in my Dad's old seat and Damon looks at him. "That seat's taken." He says and Kol gives a small nod, deciding to stand up instead. "Did you kill all of those people last night, Damon?" I ask and he looks at me. "As I just got finished with telling Liz here, I wouldn't blow up people. I'd have a dinner party." He says and I see a light-skinned man walking over to us. "Who's the new guy?" I whisper and we look at him. "Excuse me, Sheriff. Hi. I was wondering. If I could speak to you for a minute. It's about the explosion at the Young Farm." He says. "I'm sorry, Mister-." Liz says, shaking her head. "Oh, Connor Jordan." He says, offering a gloved hand with his fingers and thumb visible and she shakes it. "Are you with the Insurance Investigators?" She asks. "No, no, I'm more of an independent contractor." He says and looks at Damon, Kol and me, with Kol's arm over my shoulders and Damon smiles at him. "Can we speak in private?" Connor asks, looking back at Sheriff Forbes. "Sure." She says. "Thanks." He says and walks off as Sheriff Forbes looks back at Damon, Kol and I. "It wasn't Kol, either. He stayed with me. All night and then make eggs and toast for breakfast." I say and she walks off. "Nice to meet you, too. Mr. Busybody Guy." Damon says.
"Did you do it?" Elena asks, rushing in, about to sit down in my Dad's spot as I'm sitting between Damon and Kol, and we move down one so Elena can interrogate him. "That seat's taken." Damon says and she looks down at it. "But there's no one here." She says, looking up at him and he looks at her. "Well, I'm just going to pretend like there's someone there. Because the alternative's too damn depressing." He says, giving her a fake smile and she sits down on his right side. "Did you set off the explosion that killed the town council?" She asks and Damon looks at her as I sip on my coke. "Am I wearing my 'I blew up the Council' t-shirt? Why does everyone keep asking me that?" He asks. "Did you?" She asks. "No. Anything else?" He asks, giving her a small wave with drink in hand and she sighs as he sips on it. "Yes." She says and sighs again as I eat a cheese fry and Kol steals the biggest one, making me fake gasp at him and playfully hit his arm. "Something's wrong." She says, looking around and lowers her voice. "I can't keep any of the animal blood down." She says and looks at her, smiling. "Well, there's a shock." He says and looks away from her. "I think I need your help." She says and he exhales. "Of course you do." He says and turns back around to look at her, putting his hand out for different people. "Pick your meal. You got Asian Fusion, Mexican, what about some good old American Comfort Food?" Damon asks, turning around again before looking back at her. "No." She says, shaking her head. "No human blood. Stefan's right." She says as Damon looks away from her; clearly annoyed. "I have to at least try to get it through my system without hurting anyone." She says and Damon downs his drink. "Fine. Come on." He says, getting up and grabs her wrist, leading her away from us. "What are they doing? You know what, I probably don't wanna know." I say as Kol chuckles. "Trust me, you don't." He says and kisses my cheek.
I'd be at the Church with Kol as we're waiting for the memorial to start and see Damon walk in with a backup dress in Elena's size and we follow him. "What's going on? Is she okay?" I ask, concerned. "She puked up more blood and the Hunter is already at the door." He says and we move faster to see Connor sitting down on the couch by the doors. "Oh, you again. Stalking small town funerals?" Damon asks, grinning and we hear the bathroom door open and look at Elena. "Oh, Damon." She says, grabbing the dress. "Thank God." She says, pulling the dress in and we all look at Connor. "Sorry, I spilled coffee all over my dress." She says, looking between us and Connor before he stands up and walks over to us, and we see Elena shut the door. "Do you want me to get you another cup?" I ask. "No, I'm okay. Too much caffeine already. It was my third cup." She says and we look over at Connor. "We have not met. I'm Connor. Jordan." He says, offering his right hand to Damon. "Damon. Germaphobe." Damon says, grinning and Connor offers his hand to Kol. "Sorry, he's allergic to leather." I say, before shaking his hand. "Adam. Gilbert." I say and we release. "Everything ok in there?" Damon asks, facing the door, calling out to Elena. "Just a minute!" She exclaims and Damon smiles at Connor. "So, what brings you to Mystic Falls? Bible Salesman?" He asks and Connor chuckles, smiling. "No, no, actually I'm in, uh, environmental cleanup." He says as he stops smiling. "Oh, that's right up your alley, Damon. We all know about you fear of germs." I say, smiling. "Heard you guys had a bit of a pollution problem." Connor says. "Well, I was unaware. But I do breathe pretty easily. For a germaphobe." Damon says, smiling and we see the door open and Elena walks out. "I'm sorry that took so long." She says. "No problem." Connor says. "Well, enjoy your stay in Mystic Falls. We love visitors and the scenery is to die for." Damon says and gives a fake gasp, putting a hand close to his mouth. "Funeal Parlor. Too soon. Sorry." He says and we walk past him. "Have a nice day." I say and feel Kol's arm over my shoulder. "Let's go get seats while Damon helps Elena." I say, leading Kol over to the pews to find us some seats and we soon hear the church bells.
