Bad Karma
Ryder SladeWriter's Note:
Hey, just so everyone is aware this Act of Fallen is coming to a end, I will be having a short break of a couple days to prewrite some of the chapters before the next Act starts. Make sure to vote and comment on the chapters too, it helps give me feedback on what you guys want to see!
Alright, let's get to the story know..."Karma?" I asked, that must've been some sort of stage name. No mother and father go out of there way to call there daughter after Karma.
"Yes, I set things straight. This world is full of killers, but it doesn't have to be, so I kill those who deserve it"
I decided to question her logic. I just needed to stall her.
"Shouldn't you kill yourself then?" I asked. "I mean, if you kill killers, then wouldn't that make you a killer, making this whole cycle of killing completely useless?" I asked.
Karma looked confused, she muttered to herself then refocused on me.
"Stop trying to confuse me!" She shouted.
I lowered my arms, I wanted to look friendly.
"Look, Karma. My body killed people, but it wasn't me, I was infected, then mind controlled to kill my brother, sister, friends, and my pregnant fiance, do you really thing I'm that evil?" I asked.
She stood there, I could tell she was struggling to make the choice, to kill me or to not. Then after a few moments her eyes filled with hate.
"You killed Edward you bastard!" She shouted as she fired her shotgun like a mad woman.
I dove to the ground as I heard the shotgun shell fly around me, I flipped over to my back and had the barrel pointed to my face yet again. She pushed the barrel agasint my cheek.
She was in full out tears at this point.
"You killed everyone I care about!" She screamed.
"To be fair, you're not the first" I struggle to speak with my cheek squshed agasint the barrel of her shotgun.
Suddenly Karma fell to the ground next to Max, knocked out.
I looked up to see a large man holding a baseball bat.
It was Beta.
"What the hell is going on out here?" He asked helping me off the ground.
"We had ourselves a visitor" I answered quickly whipping away any dust that might've gotten onto my pants.
...
It's been several hours now, Max was awake, and we we're almost ready to leave, we just weren't sure what to do about Karma.
We currently have her locked up in the prisoner cell in the basement part of Fort Black. Max was certainly down there questioning her.
"So, she claims to know you?" Alpha asked me. I stood leaned back in the corner of Major Skeletons old office, which now belongs to Alpha. She was pacing back and forth in the room.
"Do you think that she was alone?" Alpha asked.
I shurgged.
"Probably, think about it, if she had friends they would've done something by now"
"Well, Beta, Gillion and a few others are guarding the airship as we speak, we should prepare to leave shortly" she spoke as suddenly the large iron door of the office swung open and a cuffed Karma was pushed into the room.
