Chapter Eighty Two

Stage Two

Ryder was driving us in the Jeep, we were on the way to the meeting point with Kiera and her unit to begin the attack on our outpost.

I rode in the passenger seat, with Jeff in the back. I checked my watch on my wrist, which had a fresh battery in it from a blacksmith at the Dojo. The watch read 11:44am.

We were due for the meeting point by noon, so we should make it.

"What's the plan after we destroy the Outposts?" Jeff asked from the backseat.

"First we need to regroup with the others, but the idea is to attack the City" I explained looking at Jeff through the rear view mirror.

Ryder turned right, we were northeast of the city. We planned to attack the Northeast outpost with Sandlock's forces and the Pirates.

"How do we plan to get through the walls though? Aren't they like ten feet thick?" Jeff asked.

"They are hollow, but we do have a plan. I had Shane and East design some bombs, Shane should be working on them as we speak at the Fight Pits" I explained.

"And we have fighter planes?" Jeff asked sounding curious.

"Yes, The Fight Pit has a small collection of them, both Shane and Ace have pilot experience, and we've even rounded up a few clan less who could help to fly them. Max and his team are getting the planes ready while we take out the Outposts" I explained.

"Aren't the children at the Fight Pits too? Are you sure its safe to put so much there?" Jeff asked.

"Major Skeleton just attacked the Fight Pits. He'll likely target the Dojo next to try and take out the root of the Rebellion, that's why we kept so many people at the Dojo to defend it" 

Suddenly I heard multiple gunshots, and I heard our tires pop as the jeep slowly creeped to a stop. 

"This is a ambush" I spoke reaching for a assault rifle that was placed between the two front seats. When I heard the motor of a small engine being rev'ed up.

I glanced up to see Jeff pressing his flintlock pistol against the back of Ryders skull.

"I wouldn't do that Jayce" Jeff warned.

I glanced at Ryder, who just nodded. I moved back to sit in my seat and saw as the Pirates approached. with weapons in hands.

"What did you do with Kiera" I spat still looking at the sand dunes around us.

"Nothing, in fact I still plan to fight against Major Skeleton by her side. I just want Ryder dead, this was the best time to do it" Jeff answered.

Ace parked the Jeep outside of the Fight Pit, the Clanless are rallied around the building, united against Major Skeleton, they clearly plan to guard this building with there lives.

They step aside for Ace however, who they let inside easily along with Karma and I.

"Mr. Ace" Someone shouts.

"It's that Portal Jumper guy!" Someone else speaks.

Once we reach the inside of the building, Ace leads us further down a hallway towards the center of the arena.

"This place gives me the creeps" Karma complained

"Yeah, well get use to it. We're gonna be here for awhile fixing these planes" I spoke as we entered the sand covered floor of the Fight Pit arena.
