"Ma'am! We have a situation!" I heard East shout to me from the gate.

He stood up on it holding a sniper rifle in his arms, he aimed it out to the fields outside of the wall.

"What is it?" I called up. Maya and Cyblow we're nearby still in the middle of a training lesson.

"Get up here" East spoke unable to put what he saw in words.

I climbed the ladder, as the wind began to pick up. I looked out to the empty Sandy fields and saw ligbning strike the sand.

More than once, lightning started hitting the sand, over and over like a repeative beat, it was hitting the same spot again and again, which is unlike any other storm that I knew of.

"Maya!" I shouted over the loud clashing and banging of the lightning bolts.

At this point the training lesson was interrupted by the lightning strikes and Maya ran over to the ladder and joined us on the gate.

"What is this?" She shouted to East and I.

East aimed the rifle out to where the lightning was striking, lowered the rifle and handed it to Maya.

"There's something in there" East shouted pointing to the lightning bolts strike point.

Maya took the sniper and aimed it out at the field. Then suddenly the lighting stopped, the wind came to the stand still and at the strike point where the lightning was, is now a large blimp.

The back of the blimp, which was facing us opened up, and mutiple figures stepped out.

But leading them was the devil himself.

Ryder.

Maya aimed her sniper and fired.

"Die!" She shouted firing off the sniper like a mad woman, I saw one of them hit Ryder in the arm as the entire group of a few dozen people jumped to the sand for cover.

Only one man didn't hide, he raised his hands up, his palms facing us.

"Stop!" He shouted walking towards us.

"Max?" Maya mumbled looking at the man walking towards us.

Max Withered
"Don't shoot!" I shouted to the people on the gate, at least one of them had a gun, and as I approached I recognized two of the figures up on the gate. It was Kiera and Maya, the thrid however was unfamiliar to me.

"Max?" Maya called down.

"Yes, don't shoot!" I shouted up again, stopping at the front of the gate.

"Why is Ryder with you?" Maya asked, she reaimed the sniper out to Ryder's direction.

"It wasn't him Maya, know that. When he was infected, someone brain washed him, he wasn't in control, and for the last two months he has had to live with thinking that he ended all of your lives" I explained grimly.

Maya lowered her sniper and looked at me, tears in her eyes.

"Is- is that him now?" Maya asked.

I nodded.

"He hasn't been this much himself since the day he was infected" I spoke telling the complete truth.

Maya handed the rifle to the man, and disappeared behind the gate.

"I'll be right down, we need to speak" Kiera told me.

I nodded, I came here to find the Creator, but I wanted to ensure that Ryder and the others that came with me had a safe place to live before I go and find him.
