The Gladiator
Ace Baillieu

"What the fuck, what the fuck what the fuck what the fuck WHAT THE FUCK!" I shouted over and over and over as I entered my first fight pit match.

This match barely had anyone watching it since these were just small matches to root out the weak fighters before the finals.

I fought a short shirtless man who held a spear in one of his shaking hands and a shield in the other.

I also had a shield along with a small axe.

We stood in the open battlefield facing each other, we began both walking clockwise, neither of us wanting to make the first move.

"Don't make me ask" I spoke.

The man was still shaking, as he attacked me with the spear, I dodge by shifting to the left and tried to slam my axe down on him but it was blocked by the mans shield.

He staggered back from the attack, and once he regained his balance he attacked me again.

This time I blocked his spear with me shield and attacked back instantly, throwing my axe at him and as the axe made contact with his skull, the man sunk to his feet as a unrecognizable bloody mess.

"Ace, come up here I want to speak with you" Natasha spoke over the intercom system and I did as I was told. I walked up to her office and entered and only Executioner stood guard outside the door.

"Good work Ace, I believed in you" Natasha spoke with a smile.

I bowed and answered. "No problem Ma'am, what's next?" I asked.

"Well, I have a few more matches for you" She spoke with a grin.

And I fought those matches, each of them I won, over and over. I chose different weapons to fight with, I attacked with different strategies and used one liners and threats in battle to keep my now growing audience entertained. I used a pike as a weapon, once ripped off my opponents teeth and strapped them to my knuckles, using the mans own teeth to punch him to death.

The food was amazing, full lobster meals, steak, chicken, even coffee and chocolate.

My most recent match was a chariot match, where we road on chariots dragged by horses, there were also live lions in the arena with us.

I managed to lead my opponent into the lions, which broke his carriage and the Lions shreded him to pieces. I was building up quite a fan base, with them calling me "Ace the Unstoppable" I personally didn't like the stage name since it sounded so unoriginal. But I took the name all the same.

I went up to Natasha's office once again for the seventh or eighth time this week. I noticed that this time the executioner wasn't standing guard.

Natasha sat at her desk.

"Pleasure to see you again my lady" I spoke respectively nodding my head and bowing.

"Please sit" She spoke gesturing me to sit at the chair opposite of the desk. I walked over and sat down in the chair. Natasha opened her drawer and pull out two large glasses, then a bottle of rum.

"You a rum guy?" Natasha asked.

"Your a rum gal?" I asked as she filled the two glasses to the top.

"Always have been, one of my personal favorites" Natasha spoke putting the lid back on the bottle and placing it on the table.

"So, you did good right?" Natasha asked even though she and I already knew the answer. She grabbed the glass of rum and took a large sip of the drink.
