Stage Three
Cassi Slade"Well, how the hell are we gonna fight against that?" Cyblow asked me from the back of Cleaver.
My unit and I stood on a hill, looking at what was the Outpost we were meant to attack. The outpost had wooden walls, it had brick and concrete buildings inside the outpost.
Some of the houses have steaming chimneys, they were warm, and probably making food.
I saw several parked jeeps and trucks inside the outposts walls as well, to act as a parking lot.
Then, the most noticeable feature of this outpost was what the Fallen Dimension called "Dead Farms"
A Dead farm is what it sounds like, it is a farm, for the dead.
Large pits, about six or seven feet deep were dug around the outside of the Outpost. Each of these pits were half a football field in size, and there were at least a dozen of these pits. Each pit was packed with the undead, they were like chickens, in a illegal chicken coop.
"Why" Alpha gasped at the sight of this many zombies.
"My question is how" Beta remarked pointing at the zombies.
I glanced over to Beta, he had a point, it's been six years in the Fallen Dimension, how have this many zombies survived this long, shouldn't they decay? Not to mention, how did this many zombies even get here in the first place.
"Apparently, when the Fallen Dimension was first visited. There was a huge group of the undead, the founders of the world claimed the world and took it from the dead. Finn and Alan were the leaders of that. I knew Alan kept some of the zombies alive, but I didn't know it was this many" Cyblow explained.
"Doesn't make sense though, the zombies should've decayed by now right?" Alpha asked.
Beta looked at the pits through a set of binoculars.
"they're using a Embalming Fluid" Beta spoke.
"A what?" Cyblow asked.
"A Embalming Fluid, its a combination of chemicals that keep a body from decaying, the zombies appear to be drenched in some kind of liquid, it has to be a Embalming Fluid" Beta explained.
"When did you become a scientist?" Alpha joked, half in shock that Beta knew what he was talking about.
"But why keep them alive?" I asked the others.
"To use as a weapon probably" Cyblow explained. We all nodded in agreement, I remember what a herd could do to the Church and if a herd this big got out, it could destroy communities easily, Dragon or not. Cleaver was strong, but she tired easily and not even she, or Max could take down this herd.
"So how do we handle this?" I asked.
"We sneak in, take out the guards, and make sure that the herd doesn't get out" Alpha spoke.
I cracked my knuckles and whistled to the rest of the unit nearby.
"Let's go!" I shouted.
Jayce Slade
I felt like a fish on a line. Like I was being tugged somewhere without a chance of fighting back, or breaking free. I knew I was dreaming and when I did I dreamed of was a perfect world.
This was the City, I saw children playing here. Among them was Ebow, who seemed so happy, and looked so much like his father it was almost frighting.
Cyblow was giving some of these children rides on Cleaver, and even young Tyson was taking a liking to it.
"Hey man, you okay?" A voice called.
