Beginning Of The End
Jayce SladeWe were a army.
We were all marching back to the Dojo by foot, escorting Major Skeleton back with us. Claws kept the Major at gunpoint the entire way.
"You all have a chance to walk away from this!" Major Skeleton shouted.
Claws pushed the barrel of her pistol deeper into the back of his head as we kept moving.
I walked no more then ten meters behind Claws and Major Skeleton. Ryder and Maya walked beside me. Ex and Cyblow we're carrying Max just behind us, along with Natasha who and a few Blakwall Knights were carrying Aces unconscious body.
"Thanks again for that" I spoke to Maya from her left.
Maya smiled, adjusted her sniper rifle strap and spoke.
"Honestly don't thank me, thank Claws. She came up with the idea of coming here before we go to the Dojo. We stopped at Sandlock first and saw it in ruins, so we came here looking for survivors"
"Is Sandlock really that destoryed?" Ryder spoke up standing on Mayas right.
Maya nodded.
"Gone, the cattle, the walls, the houses, only the Cave and parts of the Docks remain"
"Still a solid foundation though" I pointed out. "Could always rebuild one day"
Maya and Ryder both nodded, seeming to agree.
"Let's focus on the City's surrender first shall we?" Kiera remarked walking past us and over to Claws.
"Quick question, when we do get the cows back, any chance Fallen can have a McDonald's?" Cyblow asked still carrying one of the ends of Max's stretcher.
"Claw's I want to thank you for saving our lives. The Rebellion could've been over without your help" Kiera spoke.
"Listen here little one! Lay down your weapons and no harm will come to any of your people!" Major Skeleton warned again.
"Shut up!" Charity ordered from Claws side.
Jeff and his pirates walked around us too, not hiding from us. They were our allies.
Although Jeff has kept his distance from Ryder.
I looked behind me for a second and saw Karma hovering near Aces stretcher. Karma looked at Ace as if she was looking at a ghost.
That's when something caught my eye.
A black shadowy figure, moving on top of a sand dune behind us. I stopped moving as I lost the figure in the distance.
"What's wrong?" Maya asked stopping beside me.
I pulled my five seven pistol from my side and turned the safety off.
"We're not alone" I spoke "EVERYONE WEAPONS UP!" I ordered.
Claws pushed Major Skeleton down to his knees as he burst out laughing like a mad man.
"I told you! I told you this wasn't over!" Major Skeleton shouted.
We all loaded and trained our weapons on the sand dunes around us. We were in a valley, with high ground all around us. This was bad.
This was a ambush.
I heard a distant sound of a machine, a loud hum that was growing in sound.
That's when three helicopters appeared above us all with trained turrets pointed down at us.
