Chapter Ninety One

On Your Side

"GET DOWN!" I shouted to Cyblow as my gun turned into the rifle form.

We were pinned down behind a rock. Cyblow launched a few grenades in the soldiers direction, while it blew a few of them up we were still pinned down by over a dozen soldiers hiding among the trees. The torches they held were dropped when the battle began, lighting the trees on fire.

Not to mention Kai, who marched in the center of the battlefield with his Katana drawn. 

"What do we do about Staby magee?" Cyblow asked shooting his rifle at Kai, Kai sliced several of the bullets to pieces from hitting him, the rest of the bullets just flew past him. 

"Dude, I'll let you know when I come up with something" I shouted back shooting my rifle at a few of the soldiers hiding behind the trees.

Kai got close enough to leap ontop of the rock that we hid behind. The rock was only five or six feet tall but it was still impressive that he jumped up ontop of it.

He swung his sword down on us, we backed up in fear.

"Where the fuck is your dragon!" I shouted turning and running behind the nearest tree for cover from the oncoming gunshots.

"She sleeps like a horse man! What do you want me to do?"  Cyblow shouted back hiding behind a tree next to me.

bullets whizzed by our heads. I looked over to Cyblow and saw him only laughing.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" I shouted.

He looked over to me, still laughing, he loaded his gun and turned out to the battle field.

"I'm having the time of my life!" He shouted, soldiers were dropping dead across the battlefield by Cyblow's rifle.

I heard a twig snap next to me and ducked. Kai's Katana swung at the tree hard and somehow cut the tree in half.

Kai appeared next to me, whipping his sword around to shake the pieces of wood off of it.

"Hello there, I hear you've been a pain in the ass to Major Skeleton" Kai spoke to me walking towards me.

I pointed my gun as it shrunk back down to pistol form. "Dodge this asshole!" I spoke firing off three plasma blasts.

He tried to cut them with his sword but the plasma exploded and hit him in the face, knocking him over onto the ground.

Before he got a chance to stand back up, someone was ontop of him. A blue shadowy figure, who cuffed Kai and tied him to the tree. It was Ex.

Ex pulled out his double sided knife and took off back into the woods, within seconds I saw the soldiers turning to run away, but none were successful, the double sided knife would get them all. Ex jumped tree to tree from the group of guards. The soldiers screamed like little children.

"This is just sad" Cyblow said walking over to the unconscious Kai. 

"What's sad?" I asked.

"Well, you and I had the situation under control, but then ninja guy shows up and just deals with these punks like they're nothing"

"That's probably why Finn wanted him alive" I shrugged. Cyblow nodded in agreement.

After a few more moments, Ex appeared from a treetop and walked over to his brother.

"So you dealt with it?" Cyblow asked, sounded annoyed. I think he was just jealous that Ex got to kill them. I looked out to the soldiers that Ex killed, and noticed that they all had the letter "X" sliced into there chests. They were like markings, I think I was standing next to two sickos.

Ex nodded to Cyblow's question, grabbing his brother and shaking him.

"He's out like a light" I spoke talking about Kai. "Thank you back there by the way" 

Ex bowed his head as if to say "Your welcome"

"Well, we can't stay out here, we should bring him somewhere safe. The Dojo perhaps?" I asked.

Ex shook his head.

"Why not?" Cyblow argued.

Ex pointed at Cyblow, then made a moan sound.

"The Dead Farms?" Cyblow started, his face went white. "Oh shit" Cyblow mumbled.

"Are they trapped?" I asked.

Ex nodded. 

"Well, then maybe we bring Kai to the Fight Pits. I was gonna head there anyways, Maya is there with my son." I explained.

Ex nodded seeming to agree, Cyblow seemed to agree as well since he began to hum "I'm gonna be (500 miles) by the Pro claimers" as he walked off in the direction of Cleaver. Ex cut the robes that held Kai to the tree and dragged his brother toward Cleaver, following Cyblow.

And the three of us were off, bringing a prisoner to the Fight Pits.

Maya Skeleton

"So, what did you think of this place?" My father asked me. "It's nice huh?"

I didn't answer. 

Josh's plan was actually pretty stupid. Max would return to the Fight Pits, the thought process was that if Karma does tell our father where she thinks Max is, it's probably better to actually have him there to defend it.

I guess my part of the plan was to detract Major Skeleton to allow Josh to collect more information on our fathers plans.

I sat in my fathers new office, after finishing a tour of the building. It was like a mansion, hundreds of possible entry points and thousands of different ways to launch an attack on this place.

"Well, I brought you back here not to discuss the beauty of this place, but to discuss the end of our little deal Karma" My father spoke taking a seat behind his desk.

Elliot still held me with the handcuffs but now I had my hands in front of me rather then behind my back, Karma glanced at me.

"Are you sure Maya and Elliot should be here?" Karma asked.

Major Skeleton nodded. "Yes, I do think they should be here to hear this, stop stalling Karma-"

"I wasn't stalling father, I just- Alright" Karma started placing her fingers on the desk. The desk tipped however do to a uneven leg and a pencil rolled off of the table on Karma's side.

"Shit" Karma mumbled reaching down to grab the pencil. She grabbed the pencil and started to stand back up as she did she placed a piece of paper in my palm.

What the fuck? Did she do this on purpose?

Karma looked to our father and began to speak.

"As you know, I was on the same unit as the Portal Jumper-" Karma started as I opened the note that she handed to me.

Without Elliot even realizing a thing, I unfolded the note.

It read "On your side"

Holy shit, was this true? Was Karma secretly against Major Skeleton? This hardly seems like something that Karma would come up with.

Jayce.

Kiera and Jayce must've come up with this plan and refused to tell anyone for the safety of Karma. Shit, and Max and I messed it all up.

Elliot's radio started going off, he grabbed it and after a short conversation he spoke to Major Skeleton.

"Sir, Kai's team went dark. It sounds like Kai was captured" Elliot explained.

"The Portal Jumper was last as the Fight Pits, with the Dojo trapped by the undead they are likely to bring Kai there too" Karma spoke.

I was taken aback. Why would Karma tell our father the truth?

Ebow was there, he was at the Fight Pits.

Spy or not, I was going to kill Karma for putting my son in danger.
