"So this is it?" I asked Josh.

The four of us, being Karma, Shane, Josh and I stood around a giant hole in the top of a hill. The hole was lined with concrete, and appeared to be some sort of lift.

"How do we get down?" Karma asked.

Josh pointed to a rusty ladder near Shane that was attached to the wall of the hole. Josh bent over and started climbing down the rusty ladder.

"No way am I gonna go down there on that ladder" Karma spoke shaking her head.

"You got a better idea?" I asked gesturing to her to follow Shane down. Karma rolled her eyes, strapped her backpack tighter and began to climb down the ladder.

Josh looked up at the sun, it was almost noon by the looks of it.

"I should go, Mayor Talon will notice my absense if I stay for much longer" Josh spoke.

I shook his hand.

"Alright, thanks again Josh" I spoke. He nodded and turned to walk down the hill and back towards the City. I walked over to the hole, and followed Karma and Shane down the rusty ladder.

There was a few moments as I climbed down that I felt the ladder shake, I swore it was going to break off. But sure enough we reached the bottom of the ladder safely.

When I made it I found that Shane was already working on the lift controls.

"What's up?" I asked walking over to him.

We stood in a large room, multiple control panels for deactivated cameras, the lift, and who knows what else the Creator had down here.

"Well, the rest of the compound seems to have power. But only the emergency stuff, doors, lights, and something called 'Pods'" Shane spoke reading from a monitor on the control panel.

"Can you get the lift to work?" Karma asked.

"Possibly, but I'll need a minute" Shane explained looking over the panels.

"Alright, well Karma and I will take a look around while your working on this. Just shout if you need anything" I spoke as Karma and I turned towards a open door.

"You sure there isn't anything else down here?" Shane asked seeming scared about being left alone.

"Honestly, I doubt it, worst case scenario there's a Clanless hobo down here" I spoke continuing to walk towards the door with Karma leading.

Karma kept her shotgun in her backpack as the two of us walked down the hallway.

"So this Creator guy, what do you think he actually was doing down here?" Karma asked grabbing the straps on her backpack and somewhat hopping down the hallway in front of me.

"Well, not sure, probably making some sort of weapon. The Creator was always obsessed with immorality though, so there's always that"  I called to her.

"And why'd he leave this place then?" Karma asked without glancing back at me.

We reached the end of the hallway, so we turned left and continued to explore.

"Not sure, maybe he didn't find what he was looking for. Or he found out I was coming to find him" I spoke walking up next to her as we approched the end of this hallway too.

"Well, are you sure then that he-" Karma spoke as she slipped on some kind of slippery liquid. I grabbed her before she fell and pulled her close to me, away from the substance on the ground.
