Old Wounds
Maya SkeletonI sat back in the drivers seat of the jeep I drove to Blakwall. I've already been siting outside of this castle for two days. I had my feet up on the dash, and was cutting up a apple into pieces with my pocket knife.
A werewolf guard appeared on top of the gate.
"Good morning Fredrick!" I spoke waving to the familiar face.
Fredrick, the guard who often did the morning shift glanced down in my direction, holding his spear and having a pistol on his side.
"Get out of here lady!" He shouted down to me for the dozenth time in the last few days. It was almost like clockwork for him.
"Your to funny Freddy" I laughed cutting up my apple once again and biting into the piece of the juicy fruit.
I came here two days ago, asking to speak to Claws, saying how I was a representative from Sandlock. Naturally they denied my entrance, and since then I've just been camping out in front of there base.
I thought about Ryder, Ebow and everyone else back at Sandlock. I hoped that the attack went well, I hoped everyone was alright, and I hoped I wasn't doing all of this just to return to only death and destruction.
That's when the front gate opened.
Five knights walked out, leading them was one of Lieutenant Claw's higher ranking soldiers. A male, brown skinned, green eyed werewolf. He had short black hair and tall black furred werewolf ears. His long tail stuck out from the back of his knight armour.
"So, your the lady that won't leave us alone" He spoke.
"And your the guy here to tell me to leave I presume?" I asked.
He looked me over, as if trying to examine a danger level, or possibly even checking me out.
"Eyes are up here Einstein" I spat.
He looked up to me with surprise.
"ma'am I think you mistake my intentions, I was looking for weapons. Do you have any?" He asked.
I took my feet off the dash and waved the knife in the air, then I gently tossed it in his direction. He caught it.
"Anything else we should know about?" He asked.
"Why do you ask?" I wondered narrowing my eyes. I wasn't about to hand everything over just for them to kill me, or turn me away.
"Lieutenant Claws wants to know why you are so determined on speaking to her. So she is letting you in, and we can't have any weapons be sneaked inside now can we?" He asked.
I nodded and reached into the backseat grabbing my sniper rifle. I threw it to one of the other Knights. Then I climbed out of the truck.
"Maya Skeleton" I spoke introducing myself. "And that's everything" I spoke only half lying. I had other weapons, but they were all in the truck.
"Well, that's everything on me, the rest is packed in the back of the jeep" I corrected, not wanting to break any small amount of trust I might have with them.
"Shaun Dent" The werewolf knight spoke introducing himself as well.
"Follow me" He spoke waving me in towards him and turning to walk up the path towards the front gate.
We approached the gate, and Shaun looked up to Fredrick.
"Open it up Fredrick" Shaun ordered.
"But sir-" Fredrick mumbled looking at me.
