The Wanted List
Jayce Slade

In a sudden burst of rage, complete anger took over, only blood lust was in my mind as I tackled my brother to the ground and began beating his face in for several seconds before I got grabbed from behind.

"Don't touch him!" The woman shouted that grabbed me, this was the woman that Ryder arrived with I would assume. Before I was even off of Ryder's nearly unconscious body however the Woman got punched across the face by Cassi.

I grabbed Ryder by his collar again and began punching him across the face with my left hand as I held him with my right. After what felt like years of just beating the shit out of this piece of flesh that was once my brother I took a few deep breaths and took a break from punching him.

I looked around to see Cassi who was holding the woman in a hold on the ground. Everything was a blurr, and I remembered the last time I saw this piece of shit, I was bitten, beaten and bleeding out. What did he do? He pulled the damn trigger.

"Should we do something?" I heard Finn whisper to Cyblow.

I glanced over and saw that Cyblow was holding a bag of popcorn. He took a large handful and tried to fit the popcorn in his mouth as he spoke.

"Nah, this seems like a family issue, let them sort it out. Besides this is quality entertainment"

"Where'd you get the popcorn?" Finn asked.

"Wrote it in" Cyblow explain to Finn, but before Finn got a chance to question Cyblow further I figured I'd turn my attention back to Ryder.

I grabbed him by the collar again, and lifted his head off the ground.

"It wasn't me-" I heard Ryder mumbled through only half consciousness.

"Bullshit" I spoke punching him one more time. I noticed for the first tine that Ryder, even before I beat him up to this point, never made any attempt to fight against me.

"HE'S TELLING THE TRUTH!" the woman shouted from behind me. I turned around to see Cassi holding the woman in some sort of arm and leg hold. They were both on the ground, and Cassi had her trapped by Cassi's arms and legs, locking her in place unable to move.

"Finish him Jayce!" Cassi shouted in rage.

I turned back to my brother, and looked into his swollen eyes. For the first time I didn't even see the ruthless murderer that killed all of us in dimension seventy one, instead I saw a little boy. Him and I would play in the fields, bet each other's allowances on archery and horse races, get in trouble for stealing Dad's car, renting a apartment together. He was always there for me in times of trouble back then.

Then I saw a baby's face instead of Ryder, the face of little baby Ebow. Ryder was a father, and if their was even a chance that he was truly innocent, and he was truly a good person. I needed to know.

I dropped Ryder to the ground, stood up and looked down at my brother.

"What are you doing?" Cassi asked.

I turned and walked out of the room.

"Kill him!" I heard Cassi shout from back in the training room.

...

I sat on a cliff side, looking out to the mountains, feet dangling over the edge. It was so peaceful up here, I took a deep breath, It's been maybe a hour or two since I left the Dojo. I haven't been far, probably a ten minute walk from the Dojo's gates but still, I half wondered if someone was looking for me.

"Hey" I heard someone speak from behind me.

I turned to see Ryder, holding a piece of raw beef to his eye.
