The Leader of Sandlock
Kiera ReedMost of our trucks returned to Sandlocks gates. All of the trucks that didn't get destoryed on the road either went back to the Dojo or came here.
I stepped out of my truck, on the inside of Sandlocks gate, instantly getting asking questions by a dozen people.
"What happened?"
"Where is my son?"
"Where is my wife?"
"Did we win?"
"Where's Ex?"
"How many people did we lose?"
"Did they kill the Mayor?"
I raised my hands out to them. "All will be answered later, but right now I need to go over the plan with Rielly and my higher ranks, but you should all know that no, we did not save Ex from what I know. Cassi and her team may have successfully rescued Ex, however the distraction was noticed much faster then we expected. We had to fall back to avoid losing to many people" I stated. Then I pushed past them and went into the warroom, where I found Rielly and Alpha were waiting for me.
"So, how'd it go?" Rielly asks as I entered.
I exhaled loudly as the warroom entrance closed behind me.
"That well eh?" Rielly asked with a smile.
I walked over to the map on the table, and placed my palms on it, looking over the different locations. My eyes stopped at the Castle of Blakwall.
"Has Maya reported in yet from Blakwall?" I asked.
"Yes, she said that they didn't let her inside" Rielly spoke.
"So is she coming back?" I asked.
"No" Rielly stated.
"Oh? Then what's her plan?" I asked.
Rielly shurgged. "She wouldn't say"
Alpha stepped forward from the corner.
"Kiera, you should know that both Jayce and Ryder didn't report back, they're missing" Alpha spoke with a hint of concern in her voice.
A wave of anger and concern went over me. Of course Ryder and Jayce stayed behind, they were trying to protect Cassi. Can I do this without them? Even on the road, when Mayor Talons forces surrounded us I froze, Jayce took over command, if that happens again I won't have Jayce to help me.
I gulped, closed my eyes and took a long deep breath.
It couldn't happen again, it wouldn't happen again.
"I've already sent Beta and a small team to go and find them" Alpha spoke, without evening glancing in her directly however I responded.
"No"
"Sorry?" Alpha asked, clearly needing clarification.
"Call Beta and his team back, we can't risk anyone else"
"But Kiera-"
"But nothing! If we risk more people then we risk everyone. Jayce and Ryder are like family to me, but I won't risk the lives of everyone in this community for two people. I'm sorry, but Jayce and Ryder are on there own"
"Fine" Alpha spat. "I'll call them off" I heard the sound of the warroom door opening and then being slammed shut.
"North is hurt, bad" I spoke.
"Shit" Rielly mumbled. "How'd it happen?"
"One of the trucks got hit by a Mortar strike. Sarah is here taking care of him" I explained.
