Stage One
Jayce SladeI stood on a rocky, sandy hill overlooking a road. Only a few weeks since Mayor Talons death, I held a pair of binoculars in my hands and wore a backpack filled with all the weapons, food and ammo I would need for the coming storm. Siting on a rock behind me was Jeff Price, sporting his eye patch, flintlock pistol and tricorn hat, along with a fancy set of cavalier boots and with the rest of his pirate setup.
He was holding a gold compass in his palm turning it around.
"She said they'd be coming from the east right?" Jeff asked.
"South" Ryder corrected standing behind me looking down at the dirt road. He wore a black unzipped overcoat over a armour plating on a white wife-beater shirt. He also wore camo pants with large tactical boots. Having is high tech pistol at his side, and a radio on the other.
That's when we spotted the convoy on the road below us. It was a group of five trucks with coverings on them. At least two men per truck, along with a set of ten motorcycles accompanying them. I grabbed Ryder's radio from his belt and spoke into it.
"This is Point One, we have spotted the Convoy and it is on course, stand by Point Two"
...
I thought back to the plan, a few days ago, the leaders stood in the training room of the Dojo, which Kiera and I turned into a War Room.
A large map was laid down on the table, with various markings and totems to represent locations on the map. Some of the team leaders stood around the map, we were laying out our plan.
"So we're clear on the attack plans?" Kiera asked the others. She and I just finished pitching the idea of the various attack plans that she and I planned for the War.
"I like it, keep it fast, less time for them to prepare for the next attack" Claws spoke putting her fingers to her lip.
"We sure we aren't stretching ourselves to thin though?" Cassi asked.
"No, we aren't. The Outposts are thinly guarded according to Josh, and our scouts confirmed Josh's theory. The hardest outpost to take will be the northern one with the Dead Farm"
"Why do we have that outpost again?" Cyblow complained.
"Because you have a dragon on your team" Kiera pointed out.
Cyblow nodded in agreement. "Right" He mumbled.
"Can we trust Josh?" Natasha asked.
Kiera and I shared a glance. "Probably" I answered.
"He hasn't given us a reason to distrust him yet" Kiera pointed out.
"Are we all clear on the teams?" I asked.
Max nodded and pointed at the map. "Jayce, Ryder and Jeff are at point one, they will watch the convoy past and then will regroup with Kiera's unit. I will lead Point two with Karma and Ace, Point three is Charity, Claws and Maya. Point Four will be the ambush team, lead by Cassi and Rielly, with Alpha and her unit, along with Cleaver and Cyblow to safeguard. Correct?" Max asked.
Kiera and I looked at each other and nodded.
"Precisely" we agreed.
"What if the convoy goes off course?" Cassi asked.
"It shouldn't, we've watched it make this path several times in a row already, plus we have setup debris road blocks on some of the other paths. Fallen doesn't have to many options when it comes to paths either, so we should be fine" I explained.
