Craig's POV
Ugh, the girls finally left. Good riddance. It was getting really difficult listening to Bebe carrying on about how bad of a boyfriend Clyde is and how she can do better. It's just like; break up all ready. Everyone knows Clyde deserves better but he's just to nice to officially break it off with her. Nichole is cool though, she seems to bring out the best in Token, if that is even possible. Then there's Red, she can be super helpful when she wants to be. It was my idea for her to suggest dress shopping before we got to the coffee shop. I just felt like seeing Tweek without all the extra set of eyes observing our every move. It's been kind of weird since he 'broke up' with me. I thought we would still be close like when we were 'together' but he just seems to want as much distance as possible from me. I'm not going to make it easy for him though. I could tell he was nervous the second we walked through the door.
"Tokennnn, why haven't you ordered our drinks yet? I'm going to die from hydrangea'', Clyde whined out. We just stare at him for a good twenty seconds before Token spoke slowly. "Clyde, first of all you had a drink before we left my house. Second hydrangea is a flower. Third....... how are you able to having passing grades for basketball with all of the stuff you don't know in that small brain of yours". It took Clyde a while for him to figure out how Token was pretty much calling him dumb then came the water works. "Sorry I'm not rich like you and can afford to buy good grades", Clyde squeaked out. This got an eye roll from both of us. "Clyde, that's not how it works, Token has always been smart, money has nothing to do with it". I flat out said in my monotone voice. He was still acting like a baby until I got up to go order our drinks.
"Hey, um Craig. How can I help you" is what Tweek greets me with. "Geesh someone is friendly this morning" is what I reply back to him. This seemed to startle him a bit so he just smiled back sheepishly waiting for me to give him the drink orders. "Ok, can you manage a triple shot mocha, caramel frappuccino, and a hot chocolate" I spat at him. I don't know why I was being so rude to him, maybe I was just destined to go back to my old Craig self. He gave me the total and told me he'll bring the drinks to our table when it's ready. I made my way back to the table with Token and Clyde just staring at me with confusion.
"Was that really necessary" Token asks me with his 'mother knows best' voice. "I know Tweek broke up with you and all but give the guy a break. You can't hold a grudge forever, there's plenty of fish in the sea" Clyde says. That just made me throw up my middle finger with disgust. "Yeah, whatever" is what I said right when Tweek came by to drop off our drinks.
Token and Clyde tried to make small talk with him asking about his winter break and the winter formal. He just seemed determined to make his way back to the counter. Even though we were the only group in the building. We had to head back to the school for basketball practice. Tweek seemed happy to see us go. The guys couldn't understand why he was being so distant even though we all grew up together. Honestly I didn't know either.
It was strange not being attached to Tweek anymore. Everyone saw me as a better person with him and not just an emotionless jerk who didn't care about anything. He was like my safety net. Without him it seemed like I started to hate everything for no reason.
