Third Person POV
Kenny tightened his grip of Butters and glares at Kyle with the biggest scowl on his face. Butters has his eyes wide open and starts to feel awkward staring back at the 'basketball star' who's surprisingly still in town days after South Park's loss. Karen is looking at Kyle trying to piece how he looks familiar but can't quite figure it out. Tweek is afraid to say anything. He knew Kyle was coming and was anticipating his arrival but didn't think his friends would be here, especially Kenny who flat out hates the guy. Karen broke the silence announcing she had to use the bathroom and left the boys.
Tweek decided to be brave and address the 'customer' "h-hello, welcome to T-Tweek Bros. H-how can I h-help you today"? Kyle was still looking towards Kenny and Butters and then looked at Tweek with confusion. He took a couple turns looking at the couple then back to Tweek before he finally spoke. "Uh, can I get five fifteen dollar gift certificates please"? Tweek nodded and started to fill each gift certificate with the right amount. While he was doing this task Kyle was browsing the coffee bags that were for sale but didn't stray too far away from the counter. He grabbed a few bags that looked interesting and brought them up to Tweek to be rung up with the gift certificates.
Tweek was beyond nervous interacting with Kyle knowing that Kenny was watching him like a hawk, waiting to attack his prey. Tweek kept glancing at Butters with pleading eyes and he got the message. Butters knew that Kyle wasn't Kenny's favorite person (he was part of the blame admitting that he thought Kyle was hot) and Kenny was making Tweek's customer uncomfortable. Butters suggested that they go sit down with their bags and rest their legs from all the shopping. Kenny grabbed Butters hand to lead him to the table and waited for Karen patiently.
Tweek let out the breath he seemed to be holding in for hours which in reality was only a couple minutes. He told Kyle his total ($94.06) and asked if he was paying with card or cash. Kyle handed over a $100 bill and told him to keep the change. Tweek thanked him with a nervous smile and asked Kyle if he wanted his receipt with him or in the bag. Kyle said; "in the bag is fine". Tweek stuffed the receipt in the bag filled with the coffee and gift certificates. He then handed the bag to Kyle and in his best happy voice said; "th-thanks, come again and h-happy holidays". Kyle left feeling defeated with his head down not knowing what he said or did that was wrong.
Buttes called to Tweek and asked him to come to their table and he obliged, sighing and feeling bad for how Kenny treated Kyle. Tweek sat down next to Karen and across from the other two blondes with his chin resting on his hand. Butters nudged Kenny in the arm and was motioning towards Tweek. Kenny rolled his eyes and cleared his throat to say; "sorry for going in 'Mysterion mode' around 'Mr. hot shot'. I just don't understand why he was here in the first place. Denver is over an hour away". Karen gasped. "Does he have a younger brother"? Tweek nodded his head and told the group that he came in last week with his brother and his brother's 'friend'. "Ike told me his brother goes to a boarding school in Denver and is really good at basketball. Didn't you guys just lose against his school Kenny"? Looking towards him with a smug look on her face. Kenny sighed; "yeah, yeah we get it. He's good at basketball and good looking". Butters knew Kenny was going to keep throwing that in his face and started to rub his knuckles together anxiously. He muttered; "good golly Ken, sorry for saying he was hot". Kenny chuckled with a small smile and kissed Butters on the nose accepting his apology.
'Cute' is all that Tweek could think about the two in front of him. 'Cute' how Kenny was jealous of another boy that Butters found attractive. 'Cute' how Butters always knew what to say to put Kenny in a better mood. All of their interactions between the two of them were always just plain adorable. Tweek longed for that kind of relationship. He made up his mind that if Kyle was possibly his first real boyfriend he would only want it under one condition.
No one could know about their relationship. He'd already been under the public eye with his first 'relationship' and didn't want all the pressure anymore. Constantly being judged or having Kyle being compared to Craig. 'Secret lovers' seemed so exciting but Tweek was getting a head of himself. He and Kyle haven't even gone out on a date or even defined their relationship. Was constant texting and flirting a good start to a possible relationship?
Hopefully.....
