*One week later*
Tweek's POV
I get woken up by the alarm I set on my phone. We go back to school in a couple days and I'm trying to get back into my morning routine for school. I've had to wake up early a few times during winter break to do some shifts at the coffee shop. The rest of the days I got to sleep in or at least attempt to sleep in. I'm a really light sleeper and once I'm up I can't fall back asleep.
I'm also ecstatic that Kyle asked me out one week ago, Christmas Eve to be exact. He actually called me and asked me over the phone. I was grateful that Craig wasn't in my room at the time to see how excited I was. It took us a while to figure out a day that would work out for the both of us. He had the idea of going out the same day as South Park's winter formal, which happens to be four days from now. Craig 'asked me out' in front of everyone at the school to the dance but I'm sure he doesn't plan on going through with that proposal now. Anyways, Kyle refuses to tell me where we're going and only told me to dress warm. He's going to pick me up after I'm done with my work shift on Saturday. We almost decided to meet up at the playground but that was on the main road and seemed too out in the open. He then figured out the abandoned farm that's located behind the 'U-Store-It' would be a safer bet since it's more secluded. It's not that far away from my families coffee shop so that's a plus.
I go downstairs to grab myself a cup of coffee and toast up a couple of English muffins with butter to eat. Both of my parents are gone today working at the coffee shop. They're going to be closing early to go to an adult new years eve party at the Black's residents. That family is known for having a really nice house and throwing elegant parties. Tonight would be no exception.
I didn't have anything special planned for today except watching YouTube videos and playing Super Paper Mario on my Nintendo Wii. I've tried playing all of the first person shooter games with Craig but found myself getting shot before I could figure out how to shoot anybody back. Not a very fun experience. The only stressful thing about Paper Mario was making sure you don't run out of HP between switching from 3-D back into 2-D. Not to mention the boss fights but they always supply a shroom for you and a save block before you start it in case you die during the battle. The first time I actually got stuck and had to search for a walkthrough of the game was chapter 3-3. I couldn't figure out how to get the door to open that gets you inside 'Dot-wood Tree'. I kept trying to use the Pixl 'Boomer' to blow the door open but that didn't work. Turns out Chuggaaconroy (the guy in the walkthrough I ended up watching) had the same problem as me and I couldn't believe it. I know now that you have to use Bowser's flame power to burn off the extra wood to get the door to work.
I've since completed all the chapters and now I'm working on 'Flipsides's Pit of 100 Trials'. In the past I've chickened out and exited the pit early, afraid of losing all my HP since the pit doesn't supply you with shrooms. You also can't save from anywhere inside the pit so if you exit and come back later you'll be starting at pit number one. There's items available you can buy a couple times but they're super expensive. I've been trying to complete my current task for the last couple hours and was finally able to beat the boss on the 100th pit. My mind feels really drained but I'm so happy to have beaten this part of the game and it's nice to know I never have to do it again. Well except when I attempt to complete 'Flopside's Pit of 100 Trials'. Yeah, I think I'll start on that.....next week. I need a break and decided to watch some of the walkthrough videos of the same game. The guy is pretty hilarious and I find myself busting out laughing whenever he has a hard time killing annoying enemies like the 'crazee dayzee'.
After the sixth video I ended up falling asleep on my bed but only for half an hour since Craig decided to barge into my room unannounced.
"Tweek are you seriously watching more of those lame walkthroughs? You know that game is super childish right?" He then walks right up to my laptop on my bed to close it.
"Huh, what" I tried to rub the sleep out of my eyes and focus on why Craig is here....again. I sit up with my arms folded and a pout on my face. "What is it this time?"
Craig sits at the end of my bed fiddling with his hoodie strings. He takes a deep breath and asks me "are you going to Stan's party tonight?"
I slowly start to uncover myself from under my blankets and reach for my coffee cup that's on my nightstand. "Um no. You know I don't like parties, especially ones that will have tons of alcohol. I don't drink Craig and don't plan on drinking anytime soon. Besides I don't plan on staying up past midnight to welcome in the new year" I take a big gulp of my coffee and notice that I'm almost out. "I need to get more coffee, do you want any?"
Craig's POV
I blink a couple times and try to process everything Tweek just said. He waves his hand in front of my face. "Hello, earth to Craig" I forgot he asked me a question, something about coffee?
"Oh, no thanks. I'm good, I haven't been drinking as much since, you know...." we 'broke up' and I haven't had any coffee because that's his thing. How has he not figured out that I'm sad about us not hanging out as much as we used to? I'm still kind of shocked that it was his idea to end it. I know our fake relationship wasn't anything real but it hurts to feel rejected like that. It's not something I'm used to and I'm known as the guy who has no feelings. Tweek seems to bring out my sensitive side.
"All right, I'll be back in a few minutes." Tweek exited his room to fill up his coffee mug. I'm surprised he doesn't have to use the bathroom all the time from all the coffee he drinks. When he returns I'll ask him about the winter formal. We were planning on going together last month before we 'broke up'. He can't use alcohol as an excuse because Mr. 'M'kay' will be chaperoning or trying his besthaha. I wouldn't mind going as friends, that seems to be my only option according to Tweek. He finally returns with his mug full of coffee. That took way too long.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, I had to use the bathroom."
Bwah, I knew it!
"So Tweek, are we still on for the dance this Saturday?" He doesn't reply right away and I can't read his face because he isn't facing me. He was in the process of moving his mug to his desk that's parallel to his bed where I'm still sitting, waiting for his reply.
"You haven't gotten another date for the dance?" I could barely hear what he said because how quiet he was speaking and he still had his back towards me. Tweek finally turned around to face me. "I'm not going to the dance either. I assumed you would have asked someone else. There's a long list of girls that would love to go with you Craig..."
Yay, rejected again.......No, it still sucks. Especially coming from Tweek Tweak. Is this going to be a new normal between the two of us?
