Tweek's POV

*Time skip to fourth of July weekend*

As you can imagine, Kyle and I only got closer since our perfect prom night. I didn't want to risk anything bad going down at my prom so I bowed out of attending with Kyle. Even though Butters thought it would be the greatest thing for both of us to show up with our smoking hot boyfriends; his words, not mine. I didn't feel the need to show off Kyle to anybody, he was the greatest thing that's happened to me and I didn't need validation from anybody to make me feel happy. That's probably why I have such a hard time with PDA whenever we're around our family and friends. Kyle doesn't have any problems attempting to kiss me or hang all over me. Even with Kyle doing all of this, I've still managed to stay on Sheila's good side. She and Gerald had no problem with me crashing their annual trip to some lake house near Denver to celebrate the end of school and the start of summer. Also Canada Day (July 1st) and Independence Day (July 4th). Kyle told me that he usually brings David with him but he didn't want to miss any opportunity to spend extra time with me. His brother Ike also had a new pick his year to be his plus one; Firkle. Kyle and I were floored that Ike actually convinced Firkle to come, it didn't really seem like his type of scene. We had arrived later in the evening and I went to bed feeling self conscious.

Last night started pretty casual. The Broflovski's gave Firkle and myself a quick tour of the house. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the house was upkept and furnished. It had high ceilings and ginormous windows. I found myself feeling out of place again. This was becoming a common occurrence whenever I'm dragged into Kyle's luxurious lifestyle. I noticed Firkle wasn't used to these type of circumstances. He played it off well though, while myself was a nervous wreck. I was grateful to have someone who understood my feelings and doubts of if I actually deserve this kind of treatment. What wasn't casual was the room arrangements although. Kyle and myself ended up having separate rooms while Ike and Firkle got to share a room. Keep in mind, all of the rooms apart from the master had two beds in them. In my mind I could see Kyle fighting tooth and nail with his parents for days, stating how unfair this was for him. So when Sheila made the announcement I was shocked to see Kyle not pushing his mom any further on the subject. Before I went to my room Ike told me their parents had their minds set that Kyle and I sharing a room together would be too tempting for their 'Bubbie' and Kyle didn't even try to put his two cents in on the matter. I was a little disappointed. I've only spent small amounts of time with Kyle, never anything overnight. I had high hopes that this trip would be that turning point of our relationship. Kyle and I must not be on the same page.

Today I woke up to the delightful smell of French toast. In all my life I had never been woken up from the smell of breakfast. Every once in a while if both of my parents didn't have to work, one of them would cook for me in the morning, the first thing I would smell was coffee. I wandered downstairs dressed down in my pajama pants but I made sure to throw on my blue 'SPORTS!' sweatshirt to cover up my exposed chest before I left my room. Kyle bought that for me as an inside joke between the two of us. I didn't favor any specific team or any type of sport. Except the ones that involved Kyle. The sweatshirt could work for any type of sport outing I go to watch Kyle. It shows that I'm semi interested but also not too invested. So it was rather funny that the first thing Kyle said to me was "nice sweatshirt." before I took my seat next to him on the island. Kyle had a similar dress code as myself except his sweatshirt was a green 'DON'T BE STUPID, STUPID'. He loved wearing that sweatshirt, especially around his mother who found the saying immature.

"So any big plans for today boys?" She asked as she promptly brought a plate with a nice assortment of crepes with different berries on top with a side plate of turkey bacon and scrambled eggs. Guess I mistook the crepes for French toast. There was also a large cup of coffee that I was anticipating on drinking. I didn't know if it was for myself or Firkle. Ike and him hadn't been downstairs so I was tempted to just grab the cup myself. My suspicion was right when Kyle nudged the cup in my direction. With a playful grin on his face.

"Yeah, I thought today we'd walk into the main part of town and check out the carnival that has been here for the past week. Sounds fun, right Tweek?" I nodded my head vigorously with a mouthful of crepes and my hand in front of my mouth in case any food happened to slip out. The last time I went on any carnival rides was years ago with Butters. He had a bad experience with 'he who should not be named' and I was the only one at the time who could make the bad memories go away and be replaced with happier ones.

"Ooh, that does sound fun. You should run upstairs and see if your brother and his friend want to tag along." Kyle had his mouth open, ready to protest but he got beat to the punch.

"As fun as that sounds crashing Kyle's little outing with his boyfriend, we'll pass." Ike must have been eavesdropping or he just happened to be heading downstairs at the right time. "Firkle wants to check out some type of historical museum that's known for all of these old archives of dead people." Kyle had to hold in his laughter from that bizarre outing. Ike glared at him, almost challenging Kyle to push the subject farther and he'll actually disrupt his plans with Tweek.

"Are you sure Ikey? You go to this carnival every year with your brother."

"Exactly, it's the same stuff every time we're here. I can skip one year no biggie, it's just the same rides and there's always next year." Surprisingly with him being the youngest in the family, he seemed to have the most pull when it comes to persuading Sheila about anything. This time, it worked out in all of our favors.
