No ones POV
Long story short, the girls lost, horribly. The other team was ahead by forty points halfway thru the third quarter that the clock started running nonstop. Only being stopped for free throw attempts and time outs. Both schools for the boys teams start their warm-up running out to the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song. After ten minutes of basketball drills the announcer started listing off both teams starting line up. The only boy Tweek knew from Crosspoint was Kyle, who seemed quite short compared to everyone else on his team. South Park's consisted of mostly juniors with one senior. His name doesn't really matter. The only four Tweek and Butters came to watch were Kenny, Clyde, Token, and Craig. Stan used to play but got banned because his dad would always find a way to cause a scene during any of the sports he played. It was sad because they've been playing basketball together since the fourth grade. Craig and Kenny were the tallest but Kenny is normally the one who does the tip off at the beggining of the game. Once the whistle blows the ball gets tossed in the air and South Park gets possesion first. Craig being the point guard lazily calls out "motion" and all his teamates are scrambling trying to get open so they can take a shot. It's hilarious that the one guy that doesn't care about anything is the one calling the plays. He also seems to have the same tone of voice no matter what he's saying. Craig tries to pass the ball to Token but it gets stolen from Kyle. The Cows first turnover happens not even a minute into the game. Once Kyle got full control of the ball he dribbled towards his teams basket. Instead of going for the easy lay up he stopped just outside the three point line and took his shot. His coach and teammates were both shocked that he shot from there. The coach was on the verge of cursing but the ball went in so that quickly turned into excitement. The ref put his hands up straight above his head, idcating that the basket was worth three points. All of the South Park boys were confused as well. Craig asked Kyle; "what was that about, are you stupid or something"? Kyle laughs and replies with; "no dude I'm actually pretty smart, I'm just trying to impress someone" while discretely glancing over to Tweek. Tweek feels his face starting to heat up right on the spot seeing how serious Kyle was taking this whole 'deal' between the two. Tweek whispers to himself so Butters can't hear; "wow, he must really want my number". He can't help but smile at how much effort someone is putting towards him, Tweek Tweak.
That first play definately set the tone for the first half. The Cows weren't doing horrible but had a hard time getting into the key just to do a lay up. Most of their points came from random shots outside the key. Everyone on the Crosspoint team was super fast so the ball got stolen a lot. Mostly by Kyle who would always stop outside the three point line so he could complete his 'deal'. Tweek just got more excited whenever Kyle had possesion of the ball and would internally scream in his head when Kyle would make one of his three pointers. Butters soon noticed Tweek's sudden interest in the game. "I didn't know you enjoyed basketball this much fella, you know our team isn't doing too well though". Tweek says; "o-oh I didn't notice" and tries to hide the blush on his face. By halftime Kyle had all ready made five three point shots. Tweek wasn't even mad. When the game resumed Kyle wasn't going out of his way anymore to attempt three point shots. If he stole the ball he would do a fast break towards the basket going for the lay up. His teammates and coach seemed happy that he was now going for the easier baskets. Tweek was watching Kyle in awe. How was he able to maneuver the ball so well and make his baskets almost every time? It was truly amazing the level of skills Kyle had for basketball, especially being somewhat short compared to the over six feet in height most basketball players are known for. Tweek was curious how he was going to talk to Kyle without anyone from his school seeing him though. This was going to be more tricky than he thought.
*Time skip to end of game*
"That's the game everyone, South Park 34 and Crosspoint 67. Thanks for coming out to support both teams and have a safe drive home" was announced before people started to leave the gymnasium. Butters and Tweek were still seated in the bleachers waiting for Kenny and Craig to come out of the locker room. After ten minutes Butters got up to give Kenny a big hug and brought Kenny down to put his forehead right against Kenny's. Butters sighed and then told him; "good game champ, you'll get them next time". Kenny smiled and whispered; "thanks Buttercup, you always know just what to say" and gave him a light kiss on the lips. Kenny then said; "that little redhead was being the biggest show off! First during halftime before our game and then all those random three point shots, what's his deal"? Craig shrugged and replied from behind Kenny; "he told me he was trying to impress someone". Butters chirped in; "whoever it is should feel pretty lucky, that guy was pretty hot after all". Kenny scoffed with an eye roll; "I'm ten times hotter than that prep school loser"! Butters patted Kenny's head and added; "don't worry Ken, you know I have a thing for blondes" then winked towards Tweek. This embarrassed Tweek who yelled out "gah" and ended up covering his face so he couldn't see Kenny's reaction."I'm just saying he did a pretty good job, don't you think so Tweek"? Butters said turning back to Tweek. Everyone was looking at Tweek, who was having the hardest time forming a sentence to Butters question. He just nodded his head and tried to play it off still being embarrassed by Butters 'blonde' comment. Tweek then told his friends he was planning on walking home to clear his head. All the guys seemed to buy it and left Tweek alone in the stands.
Tweek waited until everyone was gone out of gym before he made his way towards the hallway. As he exited the gym he heard; "looking for me" and saw Kyle leaning against a locker wearing his street clothes and his signature green hat. Tweek hadn't expected to see Kyle waiting for him, to say he was startled would be a big understatement. He just said; "u-uh, what would make you s-say that"? Looking around the hallway to make sure no one else was there. Kyle laughed and said; "I don't see your 'entourage' and I believe you owe me a number" .......Tweek was at a loss for words. "Were you not paying attention during the game? I find that hard to believe because I felt like your eyes were on me the whole entire time" Kyle said matter-of-factly. Tweek built up all the courage he had to walk up to Kyle and calmly said; "hand me your phone" without stuttering and displaying a sneaky smile on his face. Kyle obliged and handed his phone over happily. Tweek opened up his Snapchat app and searched for his username 'coffeeboi' so he could be added to Kyle's friends. Tweek handed the phone back without saying another word and started his walk home. Leaving Kyle alone in the hallway with the biggest smile on his face.
When Tweek saw the newest snap on his phone with the username 'humankite' he changed the name so when he would get a snap from Kyle it would be under 'Preppy' and only had happy thoughts on his walk home that night.
